This car is more about sentiment, money isn't an issue. This car was given to me by my ex mother-in-law and its the only thing anyone has ever given me, it brought home all three of my kids and its the last thing my dad and I worked on before he passed away. So yah 30k could buy an nsx which is one of my favorite cars of all time but I would be just as happy with that money in this car. If I did it to this car and swapped all the luxury items to the base, which may be the plan, then I'd rock the white car as a dd and betsy as the monster. I dunno, for the most part I could just be talking out of my ass, lol. The 92 is very special to me so it may just get everything except the gutted interior and a/c delete. I think a low compression (10.5:1) stroker F26A would make a fun car. The main reason I post this is to help my decisions and stir ideas among the community. When my tax check gets here I'll pay some bills, put up some cushion money and go from there. This year my main focus is suspension and trans. The engine runs great so (knock on wood) it's not my primary concern. I will say this though, as of now with another 6k in the cb7 and ill be in the mid to high 12's which will drag a 25k nsx, lol. Corners are a horse of another color, lol.

Just build a turbo motor and use this knowledge that you obviously have about going fast and working out the details to get into the 10's. That alone would be a first in this community, and it seems like you have the dedication, time and resources to get it done.

DSM guys have been cutting 10's on a 14b turbo for a long time.

if i build a turbo car it wont be this one. maybe the white one. who knows maybe it'll be the first CB in the 10's.......or faster, lol. this car will always be n/a. its what my dad was in to and n/a will always be in my heart. the turbo car will be strictly to prove a point. n/a guys can build faster turbo cars, lol. that and an accord is not to be taken lightly.

Bisimoto pushed NA because of preference. Not to say that he couldn't build a turbo but merely because that is what he liked. Because of some ingnorant comments he built the 700 hp turbo d15 which is currently in the EF wagon. It's clearly a choice. Some people choose to go that route and others don't.

It's too easy to build a 300-400+whp boosted engine. To reach the max limit of an engine in a naturally aspirated state takes some skill... and as shown deep pockets. You could very easily spend the same money to build a real boosted engine as well.... 300-400 is a rather week boosted engine. It may be fun to drive but it is no where near the engines full potential. Some people have more in depth goals than just making XXX amount of power!

With you on that. Kids with Evos always brag about their 300HP car but I am not impressed at all, for me to be impressed by a turbo build in a 4 cylinder, it would need to be pushing 600+ reliably. Turbo feels like cheating to me.Be unique, like every other person.

so i decided tomorrow im going to pick up another F23A with F22A6 head at the junkyard tomorrow with an h23 intake manifold for another build. i will be using 09' tsx pistons and crower maxi-lite rods which weigh in at 455g. this will be coupled with the PT6 ported and polished, ARP head studs, bisimoto 87mm bore headgasket, acl race bearings, bisimoto valvesprings and rocker spacers, DDtech custom camshaft with bisimoto cam gear. i will be removing all dividers in the intake manifold down to the actual runners and will be using a single iab plate gutted. it will look like this when completed.
also just for reference from left to right is supertech 12.5:1's, 09' 11:1 tsx piston and jdm K20A-R 11.5:1 piston. note that the skirts of all three pistons are coated with anti-friction coatings with the tsx piston having the smallest skirt footprint allowing for similar weight to the smaller diameter K20A-R piston and less cylinder drag and friction aswell. also note that the ringlands are nice and thick on the tsx piston.
in this picture we notice the deep valve reliefs that allow for a quite aggressive camshaft and valve choice on this piston. 09' tsx is equipped with 36mm intake valves and 30mm exhaust valves and stock 09' tsx camshafts are over .480"/.450".
looking here we also notice the 09' tsx pistons are raised on the sides to increase compression rather than in the middle, this will help keep flame travel centered on the piston, in turn keeping cylinder wall temps down and lowering losses by reducing the amount of wasted kinetic engergy moving outward and focusing it more on the piston and downward motion. the more centered the combustion the more dense the charge and more powerful the explosion. the more centered the explosion the less heat reached the rings aswell which means longer engine life. the fact that the there is more of a dish characteristic to the piston than dome mean the spark plugs are further away from the piston slightly translating to less of a hot spot on the piston which means a much happier ignition map and more timing and more powa .
