bam! sleeper status. also i've been getting alot of on forums saying i dont make enough power to run 14.7's. so i thought i'd throw out some education, lol. most of the world uses dynojet numbers as industry standards. the problem with dynojets is they are just a fancy accelerometer that calculates hp from how fast a car can spin a 1:1 ratio drum. the dyno i use is a superflow which is a "eddy current" dyno. this means it actually put the load equivalent to the vehicles weight. this accounts for roughly a 3.5-4% decrease in power over a actual dynojet when dynojet corrected on a superflow. it may sound silly but this would equate to 180-181ish whp on an actual dynojet, not the 10%+ that everyone seems to think. but i will tell you this much, a superflow, dynojet and dynopack if properly calibrated will allow for a better tune then a dynojet because the map will be set to as close of and actual load on the engine as you can get right now. hence why my fastest 1/4 mile with my old built motor was 15.0 with 178whp dynojet but is 14.6 with 174whp superflow and all other components are otherwise unchanged. so my current goal is 180-185whp on superflow and at the beginning of the year i might go for sleeved f22a6 block 89.5mmx95mm with 10.5-11:1s and a set of kinslers, bisi V3 header and a 3" exhaust and hopefully be the first all motor cb7 guy with 210-220whp while retaining cruise, ac and all the other LX option, lol.

Screw the dumbass people with their common H swaps, i've been around hondas a good bit and your car pulls like a 14sec car an then some. I've rode in common bolt on H22 accords, not impressed.

I've thought about a phantom grip and a 4.64 final drive as a temp setup. That'd be a nice thing to drop me into the low 14's with the new engine setup.

If you haven't taken the oil pan off yet then you're going to be surprised at how much more beefy the girdle is than a typical F/H-series engine. I'm actually using the F23A1 girdle in my 97mm stroker F20B block.

i pulled it already, i just didn't take any pics because my boss was in a rush to leave yesterday. that's how i found out it had a windage tray. you're right though, the girdle is noticeably larger. it might just be me but did you notice the f23 block seems lighter than a f22a block? i haven't had it on scales or anything but it just felt lighter. my brother and i moved it into the corner of the shop for now till my head arrives and we expected to struggle with it but were surprised to just pick it right up and move it by hand.

That's the same way mine was. The F20B block felt even lighter still. I very easily carried by F20B block with main caps and F23A1 girdle up the stairs to my 2nd floor apartment. It's being built in my spare bedroom. It wasn't very heavy at all. I have a bare F23A1 block I can weigh, but the F22A block I have still has a rotating assembly for the moment. I'll weight the F23A1 block soon and if someone has an F22A block with nothing in it then they could weigh it to compare.
