    First page updated.

Also, painted the side trim pieces recently. We painted them while they were on the car and had great results. Took a bit of careful masking, but the whole process took less than two hours.

We also finally got around to painting the 92/93 trunk lid I purchased several months back. I still need to find 92/93 outer tail lights, but that'll be easy enough.

More pictures and story when the process is done.
Finally, I'm looking forward to retrofitting the projectors I purchased from the jyard the other day. Again, more pictures and story when that process is done.

    Thanks for looking!

A Skyline grill would set off your front end like fire. Even before you mentioned it I was like, "Man a skyline grill would flow so well with those headlights"

Word, man. I was hoping to pick up Ghost 2.2's grille, but it was long gone by the time I asked about it.

            Thank you sir!
I actually got it from my friend, along with the component amplifier and the second JL 12" sub, for free.

hahah I didn't want to post too many, out of fear of boring you guys.
I'll put up some more of the process pictures.

Some of the many fill sites on the lid. The lid was in pretty good shape, but it wasn't without its faults.

            The 'booth.'

            Primered.

Sanded, block sanded, washed, dusted, and ready for paint. The primer is reflective.

Water based color is the new thing. Well, relatively new. It was the first time we used it, so that was a fun new added element thrown into the mix.

            The culprit.

            Mug shot of sorts.

            Spraying.

We're blasting along, third coat out of three about 50% sprayed, when the garage door opens. Someone was coming home and we had forgotten to unplug the garage door. The garage door kicked up a cloud of dust and covered the lid with a BUNCH of lint.

We then sanded it back down to primer, and planned to hit it with three more coats of color. With about 40% of the second coat down, a gnat entered the spray pattern of the gun and applied itself to the lid.

We then sanded it back down to primer, and gave up. We'll probably mess with it some more this weekend, assuming weather allows.

            As it sits.

It's going to be kinda cool being debadged. I wasn't really planning on it, but when it came up, we figured we might as well go for it. I'm now debating on an M3 eBay flushmount lip. I really like how subtle they are.

At this point, we've got about 8-12 hours in it.
            Dust ftmfl.

Installed a new scratch in the rear bumper, small garages are prone to that. Hopefully I'll respray that and the trunk lid during spring break. Most likely not.

uhhh thinking about getting another (29 gallon) fish tank. Conflicting interests though, cause that money COULD get me a r33 grill.

Car's running fine, got 37.7 mpg the other day. About 5 hrs of total driving, 40 mins of which was in stop and go traffic. I'll try for 40 sooner or later. At this point, I have no solid income source, and when I do get money, it goes to the CRX. Sadly, the Accord is on the back burner.

                Future plans are:
                - r33 grill
                - redo the angel eyelids, hopefully for a final time
                - retrofit infiniti J30 projectors, even tho the projectors are way too large for the accord housings
                - legend coupe lip
                - M3 ebay trunk lip
                - finish up 92/93 trunk lid
                - rearrange my subs/amps for better trunk space. maybe sell the 12w1's and get 2 or 3 8" subs.
                - DIY a Legend center console and arm rest
                - secure my head unit better
                - fix the plethora of rattles, especially window guides
                - wash
                - repaint the rubber roof trim
                - polish chrome window trim

I painted my mouldings the same way when I got my car.

It really makes it stand out, in my opinion. Makes it look a lot...better.

^^^ haha yeah, its simple, and makes a nice difference. It's one of those things where if you saw the car for the first time, you notice it if its all oxidized and not painted, but not notice it if its painted.

It helps make the car look a little bit newer.

so what did you paint the moldings with? they look really good. and what kind of projectors are you going to be putting in your headlights?
                      Maple50175 - you're annoying =P

I painted the moldings with a "Honda Black" plastic trim paint. I can get further details if you wish when I get back home. I bet any decent brand black plastic trim paint will work fine. The plastic paint will chemically bond better than normal black paint.

As for the headlights, I was planning on using Infinity J30 projectors. The projectors are basically too large in every dimension. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to hack up an extra housing and see if I can somehow get them to fit. I could mess around with the acrylic angel eyes more at the same time.

because it helps on a CRX.
