Its low, and stiff but there's not alot of "pillowy" rebound, right?
I guess not, it depends on your adjustment. When you adjust the yellows, that's what you're adjusting is rebound.

Ok. Peteypete is on a CupKit and ive been thinking about it. I know a few others that want it and like it, and it'd be simple and straight forward without having to decide springs/shocks, etc. Itd be a one-stop decision and after all the thinking ive been doing, its a good height.

Go for it then. Its definitely a good setup, I just assumed it would be too stiff for you.

Eventually though I want 3 sets of wheels:

Possibly TSX wheels with winter tires on them

Some nice aftermarket alloys either polished or black with high performance all-seasons for most of the year

16x8" spinwerks wheels with very competitive summer tires for the track and occasional hard summer driving.
If you look around craigslist long enough you can find cheap 5-lug wheels. I got my TL wheels for cheap all for with tires and center caps

That idea of TSX wheels sounds sweet if you get em, PICZORS the second you pick them up or FAILZORS

And I caught a bit of the convo between you and Mike regarding a drop. How do you like the Neuspeed Race's? I'm thinking about S-techs myself.

You mentioned stiff handling, which is win.

Yeah, my setup is pretty stiff, but many coilovers are even stiffer. The difference is that Koni dampers are much better than anything you'll find in a D2, tokico, F&F, ksport, etc.

Tein S-techs don't drop much at all, but I'm sure you know that already. Springs are kind of your freedom to play around. By that I mean, you can pick a spring and rate you want, and then get shocks accordingly. The quality of your shocks is much more important than the springs, so don't cheap out on those.

Tr00 dat. Ahh I remember my ricer days. 16 years old, with an EG hatch on cut springs and stock struts. The ride was much similar to the feeling a rabbit bouncing on a trampoline experiences. And I thought it looked cool...

Yeah, I had a small ricer stage. I had the same exhaust I have now, but stock height and stock everything else, and the plastic dash insert was painted bright blue. Thankfully I snapped out of it before I touched my suspension.

lawlz, yeah. Your drop is about what I'm going for, I don't need a slampig where I live

Yeah, you won't be able to go as low as I am with S-techs that's for sure. Sprint springs seem to have the best drop to spring rate ratio from what i've seen. They make a 2.25" drop spring that is only about 20% stiffer than stock, while my springs are around 100% stiffer.

Hmm, thanks sir I'm going to keep that in mind. I saw a set on ebay earlier. I have to start paying attention to spring rate specs, and start thinking of a decent strut combo then.

Yeah, you just have to make sure the shocks can handle the springs you choose.
