LOL thanks man. I don't think the car will be a BBB much longer though. It needs a facelift.

Thanks man! Suspension and maintenance is number one right now. I recently moved engine down lower on the list until after I graduate. I'll be doing some cosmetic work along with finishing the suspension first. I think I'm tired of black bumpers.

I have a poll up about my bumpers, so if you'd all vote, I'd appreciate it.

I know it isn't a well- known brand, but I think I'm going to get an Addco front sway bar. Why? There are several reasons:
                  • It is cheaper than the suspension techniques front sway bar
                  • It still comes with poly endlinks, so that isn't a disadvantage compared to the ST
                  • The ST bar is 1 1/16 inch dia. and this bar is 1 inch dia. so my front will be stiffened up considerably over stock, but not so much that the car understeers horribly again like it does with stock sway bars. This would cancel out my Progress rear sway in terms of increasing oversteer.
                  • I feel that a 1 inch dia front and 22mm rear sway will give better handling characteristics than the ST set of 1 1/16 inch dia front and 20-21mm rear.

My rear sway will remain larger in rear compared to the front vs. the full ST set.
Also, I'm organizing a spreadsheet to keep track of my suspension build. Parts bought, how much I paid including S&H, and where I bought from. I have a formula created to tell me the total cost.

repaint them satin black. or at least the front bumper. color match the rear bumper. keep the from bumper satin black. that way you dont have to worry about something chipping of the paint up front.

                      That is all.

Sorry, but that would look incredibly bad. It would look like I just replaced my front bumper and didn't get it painted yet. If I leave them black, they will stay as they are...with no paint at all. That way, I can just wipe them down and don't have to worry about paint cracking, fade, etc.

Why do you want to paint them, Adam? I think they compliment your car very well. And you dont see too many nice looking BBBs. Blaze a new trail.

True, but black bumpers only show the car's age more. Also, how many Pewter gray CB7s do you see that aren't DX's? Every one I've seen is a DX...so I would have the only pewter gray coupe with paint matched bumpers. I can't help but feel like leaving black bumpers looks like my bumpers were recently replaced and I haven't painted them yet. Besides...it looks too much like Ronald_Type-R's and Yeamans as it is. I want to create my own unique brand within the few pewter gray CB's there are.

*sigh*...if you just HAVE to paint them....i say leave the moldings.
