I'm off class tomorrow so I'll see if I can make it go away. I love the bar though. I'm glad I didn't look for this bar for so long only to be disappointed...and thanks man. I just want to send a message around STL with my CB since there really aren't any others. Seeing a 08 SI sedan and a 00 GSR rolling with a CB7 is probably odd looking to some people.

In other news, I realized last night that with the other suspension and brake upgrades I'm going to be doing: not only would it not make sense, but it would be financially stupid to not convert to 5 lug....
...word on the street is I just need odyssey knuckles, hubs, and bearings. I still need to convert to rear discs so why not do that all at once? Hmm.
I came up with a new plan too for the motor. Maybe by the time I'm done with the suspension, body, and interior, Hasport will make a J-swap kit for the CB and I can just skip the K all together....otherwise I'll stay with building the F.There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got back from some mountain road driving through the twisties with my friend in his E36 with sport package in the lead.
My suspension must be re-evaluated. He outhandled me despite having a completely stock suspension package. There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

No doubt. Somebody has to blaze new paths.
You need wider tires/wheels.

I wouldn't worry too much about higher spring rates just yet...Get stiffer suspension AFTER you upgrade all your bushings How about camber setup? What's your camber like all around bro? -2.0 up front and -1.5 in the rear will do wonders on mountain roads! Don't worry about camber wear...Just get your toe lined-up properly during alignment!
After all that, you can then fine-tune your handling by messing around with tire pressure and shock settings, and you should be all set! Or if you want to go even further, some weight reduction would also help a lot
So there you go bro...Better wheels/tires setup (lighter, wider), upgraded bushings all around, better camber setup, some weight reduction, and some final fine-tuning and I guarantee you'll give that E36 a run for his money!

Yup, for sure. When I said drastic with spring rates, I mean different. Not necessarily stiffer. I'm going to stiffen the rear and soften the front. I'm thinking 450lbs front and 350lbs rear...maybe even 400lbs rear. It doesn't rotate enough...but maybe that was just my tires losing grip lol. My car is out of alignment now because it pulls to one side lol, but my last alignment I had everything zero'd out, camber included....that was before I knew about camber a long time ago. Bushings are being planned for sure too. I will be getting a 16x8 wheel with as aggressive of offset as I can manage, but I was thinking the Direzza star-specs? Weight reduction is in the process too...I have nothing behind the front seats besides my single sub and amp. No trunk panels, rear seat, etc. I almost feel that I could use a larger rear sway bar, but the progress bar is the largest one available. There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

Hehe don't worry about the front spring rates too much...I'm running 780lb/in up front and I STILL think they're too soft Stiffening up the rear could be a good idea..Just watch out for over-steering! I run 450lb/in, and in the summer time, even with -2.0 camber in the rear and 225/45/17 RE-01R tires, the rear still kicks out on me if I don't watch it! Just make sure your front end grips well during cornering, and your rear end will 'rotate' enough to follow your front end, maybe even more than enough! lol..
Oh and Z1 StarSpecs are definitely awesome tires I'd say go with bushings and better wheels & tires first before you decide on the springs! And Progress RSB seems to be more than suffice, based on my experience hehe just my .02 though

Yeah I plan to 5 lug swap with Odyssey knuckles and convert to rear discs at the same time. I'll replace my UCA's front and rear and RLCAs and then replace all the left over bushings.
Unless I stumble upon information that convinces me otherwise, it looks like I'm going to use the odyssey knuckles, with front lca's with poly bushings, and then hardrace sway end links, with skunk2 UCAs for the EF civic. The rear will get treated to the SPC UCA's...the bent ones for added clearance, and then all the megan racing rear lower arms. Nothing is going untouched. I talked to some of my colleagues and they agree that I should do all that before changing up my springs, like you said. There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

My battery took a crap on me today, so I have a new one. I didn't know the car was supposed to start up this easy lol. Apparently I've needed a new one for quite awhile. Also, tomorrow I should be getting a Prelude S ECU. P12 i think? Yay for bolt on 10 horsepower! There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!
