looks nice man but for some reason no matter how much we in the west try to make our cars look "JDM", we dont get the real "JDM" look

I still fail to understand what the "JDM look" is.
All JDM means is that it was sold, or designed for sale, in Japan. It's really not a style at all.

yea but everyone and their momma thinks its a style, i gave up on trying to explain it so i just go along... guess there is no real name to call when making your car look like if a japanese person owned it....could it be because we ride around with rust patches on our 1/4 panels?

                          Eh, it just bugs me.

Back before the internet was the main source of car parts, having Japanese-market parts on your car was cool. Now, something pulled off some Japanese junkyard car for 20 yen is resold in the US for $200, and people think they're cool for doing it. It's not a style... just using parts, largely OEM parts, from junkyard vehicles in another country. Hell, half of our "JDM" stuff probably comes from Australia anyway...

I don't mean to say this to rag on Alex's car. I actually think his car looks damn good.

i feel the same and its going on with every japanese car not just honda, with my old z32 i couldnt belive how some used parts that give you no increase hp or appearence could be some expensive, like honestly can you walk up to someone with "jdm" mudflaps and charge $350?
