    Dinner_Time: 1991 Accord EX-R

    **Updates on PAGE 2!**

This is my 1991 Accord EX-R on the first day after bringing it home (May 27, 2006). Bought it from a friend's dad for $400. The junkyard wanted $100 (thank god he said no) and then it was going to become their field car. So I said, i'll give ya $400! After some convincing by my friend and his mom he took it!

    Engine/Exhaust:
    F22a4 - Stock with ~325 xxx kms
Added Buddy Club Racing Condenser (used $100)

    Wheels/Suspension:
All Stock, bought with winter tires on.

    Brakes:
Stock, front rotors warped from using them too hard by previous owner

    EXTERIOR:
Stock - Previous owners tinted windows.
Removed body molding and patched holes.
Fiber glassing the rear fenders due to rust.
    New windshield put in.
Rocker guards taken off, the were holding a lot of dirt creating some nice rust.

    INTERIOR:
Stock - Carpet and seats are pretty dirty. I've painted console, dashboard trim, and two upper vents. Will probably sand down and re-do though, or hit up the junkyard and get new trim. I did a pretty bad job lol.

It seems whoever did the oil spray got a little crazy with it. Almost the whole trunk is covered in oil, and the engine bay is covered too.

    Audio:
Stock AM/FM and Cassette Player- Stock radio came with built in Honda Equalizer, so that's cool. Never seen it before.

    Future Plans:
Pass safety inspection. Need new front rotors and a bit more fixed to pass safety.

I would love to have the whole front carbon fiber (fenders & hood), and a carbon fiber trunk lid with carbon fiber spoiler of course This probably won't be happening anytime soon.

I would like to get it painted, might do it myself later. Fix what I've already messed up body wise (patched up body molding holes, didn't do the greatest job) I'd rather save my money then spend it, so that's why I'm doing everything myself. I'll probably end up regretting it, but in the future when I got a more steady cash flow I'll get it all done right.

I have the turbo set-up from hardmoneyhonda, pistons from hemlockz, 2.5in cat back exhaust (ebay special lol) coming in the mail. Skunk 2 cam gear from Ilikebigbutts and clear corner lights from mozzandherb are bought, hoping they'll ship out Monday lol. Those will probably be going on next summer, or maybe this wintet during Christmas break, we get like a month off at college

These pics are a little old, I've done quite a bit of work since these, I'll update soon.

    Thanks for checking it out!

              **Update 09/30/2006**

I got back from my girlfriend's this afternoon and have to work at 4pm today, so I didn't get too heavy into the work. I snapped some pics of the work I did the last couple of days. I also got some degreaser kind of stuff and cleaned a bit of my turnk (no pics) and a bit of the engine bay. Here's the updated pics!

              ^^ Dirty engine bay

^^ After a bit of cleaning

^^ Finished driver's side rear wheel well. The primer was pretty much empty so that's why it looks so bad and uneven.

^^ Passenger side. Need to do some primer sanding.

^^ Passenger side rear wheel well hacked up. It was all rust.

^^ Nice hole caused by rust, can see into car.

^^ Another nice hole on opposite side leading into trunk.

^^ Another pic of hacked up passenger side rear wheel well.

I have a lot more grinding and cutting to do. Another full day of it tomorrow. I'll post pics once I get closer to finishing up.

Here's a mini update, without pics.

More and more rust! I stopped the work on the wheel well for a bit and removed the rear rubber bumper/bar. The one nut was turning, then snap! The whole bolt & nut snapped off then of course on the other side there was very little left of the nut, it was all rusted away so I had to hammer and hack it off . So, gotta order a new bumber since it really can't go back on

Back to the wheel well...more grinding and cutting, finally started to fiber glass it up though! Slowly getting it done...

yea mine was $135 new and its a perfect spot near the battery and the cables were long enough to reach to the other side of engine bay and you got to love that 24/7 blue light hahaha
