oh yea, so i was playing with my car last night and testing the top speeds for each gear... here's what i got:

1st gear:
untested - no point IMO

2nd gear:
OEM Speedometer: 65mph
Defi HUD: 60mph (actually 61mph, but who's counting? )

3rd gear:
OEM Speedometer: 94mph
Defi HUD: 88mph

4th gear:
OEM Speedometer: 120mph
Defi HUD: 112mph

5th gear:
untested - over 100mph already!

Why is it different from the speedo? Also, does the eclipse nav have GPS speed on it? I wonder if GPS speed would be more accurate...

it doesn't have GPS speed on it. however, the Eclipse deck is hooked up to my speedo, but doesn't display it. it's hooked up just in case i'm in a tunnel where i can't get satellite signal, it'll use the speed of the car to calculate my location.

i think the HUD is different then the speedo b/c the HUD is a "read-out" vs. an analog display. for instance, when slowing down to a stop, the HUD would read "0" once stopped, but the OEM speedo is still reading down. not too sure, but i think that's the reason why.

yea it's an SW20 [boosted MR] i'm buying it off my friend... he has another car, but that car is currently in SoCal so he still needs the MR2. once he gets his car back, i'll get the SW20

...after i get that spare car, i can plan to boost the accord!
