...also i said yesterday that i was going to be busy today because i would be working on my car; i end up just going out! haha

however, about 8:00pm today i started a project that i wasn't even planning to do - it was a last minute on the fly decision! i redid the lining of my door panels to gray suede.

i stopped about an hour ago so i only did 3 doors. pictures to follow...

Sorry if it has been asked but how much total do you think you put in money wise for that HID setup you are running if you don't mind me asking?

Do you offer any retro-fitting services cuz I got a spare set of one pieces laying around that are begging for s2k projectors

Too bad...I wanna try something crazy like that with my headlights...probably cost you about a grand for everything huh?

here's what my friend posted back on the earlier pages

Aww_shiet spent close to about $1400 for those headlights 3-4 years ago when headlight retrofit was still new. I started retrofitting since 2000. I don't think u guys are gonna believe how much Aww_shiet spent for those parts. A pair of S2K headlight at that time cost $800. Nowadays, u can probably get a pair of s2ks for $250. Philips Ultinon D2S bulbs back in 2003 were $350 at that time. Nowadays, Ultinons run for like $260.
So just say Aww_shiet had a retrofit all the way back in 2003 before anyone even knew retrofits was possible for a cb7.

Aww_shiet's Headlight Profile for 2003:

-1 pair S2k Projectors $800
-1 Pair Philips Ultinon 6000K $350
-1 Pair OEM Hella Ballast $275
-3 BMW DDE CCFL Kit $135 X 2 = $270 (due to extremely fragile CCFL)
-1 eBay Aftermarkt Proj. Headlights $225
-------
$1920

Nowadays, anyone can probably get a retrofit of their own if they buy their own parts and retrofit their own headlights. Expected estimate cost:
-1 pair S2k Projectors $100 (if lucky)
-1 Pair Philips Ultinon 6000K $250
-1 Pair OEM Hella Ballast $175
-3 BMW DDE CCFL Kit $70
-1 eBay Aftermarkt Proj. Headlights $130
-------
$725 total expected cost + 6hrs retrolabor


Good luck on those people planning on retrofitting something like this. Most important part is have fun while learning.

And btw, XenonKiller99(the guy who made the headlights) is retired from the retro business...
