I been researching on that camera so once I master the canon powershot a550, I am going with one of those and then I will jump to the canon rebel xti

other then the Canon 1D, the S3 would probably be the only other camera I'd get (as a cheaper alternative)

the S3 come highly recommended from my photographer friend...

trust me the transportation forum on the site i posted really teachs you best lighting techniques and the best way to get the best angles for your car

if you have more money, get the G7 he said... more expensive then the S3 by about $200, but you get what you pay for!

...but it's kinda BANK! hahahah

david it all depends on what you want, if you want a point and shoot camera then a regular a540 or a550 canon powershot shoot excellent pics, however if you are a beginner and want to really get into photography, the a canon powershot s3 IS is a great camera to start with. It really all ends up what you want out of the camera. From what you said a point and shoot camera would be the best bet for you.
