haha i've seen it! it's exactly what you think it is. a nice car! but in all seriousness it's a huge step from the accord and it has a differnt direction at that. just stop teasing the masses and post pics elliot. you gotta fix that front end though .
i did buy them from the dealership. they are the rear door handles for a 93 lx. i didn't have to go about getting them painted, since i was able to order the color for my car. they were 69.69 per side- so 139.38 total. i had no idea how to put them on myself, nor did i really have the time, so an acquaintance of mine put them on at a body shop. apparently the driver's side handle is easy to do, it's the passenger side that is difficult.
i got them in a roundabout way, so to speak. i was parked at a local mall for maybe 15 minutes, and someone tried to break into my car by jabbing something (screwdriver?) into the keyhole... i didn't notice it at first since i have an alarm (need to add that to my electronics list), but i went somewhere else, came out and saw a hole where they keylock mechanism should be.
i thought of just getting my handles shaved, but i figured that 1. could be more hassle than it's worth and 2. if for some reason i end up getting an h22 and want to take it to the track, i'll need physical door handles.
Hey el, when you got those keyless door handles put on, how much did you pay for the labor or was it a hook up?
sorry for the delay of the pic. also, sorry for the quality. i literally just picked up this new camera (canon digital rebel/300d) yesterday, and have only read 1/4 of the manual... throw in not having my tripod... and the pic isn't that great. i'll have some better shots.
1990 lexus ls400
not much done to it so far:
red/clear tail lights
intermilano voltec wheels - 18x9 in the front, 18x10 in the rear
dropped 3-4 inches
i need to get the a/c recharged, get a new lcd display for the climate control, new hood (my fault), and start reconditioning the leather. small audio upgrade- new headunit, replace stock 8 inch subwoofer, and new amp. i'm awaiting jdm one piece headlights as well.
all in all, not a bad purchase for $3800... especially considering it had less than 150k on the speedometer at the time of purchase.
