looks damn good for only $400... no rust or battle scars is a huuggeee ... head gaskets are simple to replace and also check to make sure the head or block deck arent warped in any way before you strap it back on... you can easily get it milled slightly if it is.... good luck and have fun with it man....

Nice find, You got on helluva deal. My drivers window is off track too, but i just have to hold it against the track so it slides up tight, otherwise it pops out a little, no big deal, although i haven't figured out how to fix it without replacing all the rubber trim/track

Been awhile since I added information to the mbr sec. So here is my UNTOLD story.

Bought the car in Sept. 2005 for $400. with head gasket issues. Drive the car even tho had this issue and knew of it. Lower and lower the compression was getting. Did not start the repairs due to finishing up my divorce after 7 yrs. of marriage. 2 beautiful children came out of it!
I debated on the h22 process. Read pros/cons and decided to leave the car as is. Meaning, stock motor w/some lovin inside of it. About to do head gasket and pulled head off and dicovered this.

                              On #2

                              On #4

With that being said, really did not want to deal with buying pison set, rings, etc to repair the known, hence, found a motor (f series of course) w/45,xxx original miles. pulled everything off and flushed out completely . Since I was there, added all new seals, rings, and cam gears.
Of course, the obvious, timing belt water pump, dis, cap/rotor, etc...

Did clutch, slave cylinder. New OEM rotors and pads, master cylinder.

I regret not taking any pics while new motor was apart. Hands were to deep into work and did the stop and go on the motor work over the coourse of 2 weekends. Added a slight mod to the AEM SRI. Made shorter...

Of the course of time, collected items off the forum here (You all know who you are) and the junkyards locally. Some of the items rec'd were used, some ditched and some for sale now...
