Getting this vehicle in a magazine would be awesome, but having people who are inspired by this car, people who know my every update that I post; that is more than I could have ever imagined when I orginally started this thread. I built this car for me, and having "fans" pushes me to go farther and farther, and I really thank every single person who has ever complimented or even criticized on my car. Hell I got people who like my car that hate bodykits; people who hate boosted cars; now having a variety of fans that like this one car, thats truley priceless to me. Every word on here is taken to heart and built upon.



Honestly, I dont think this car is magazine worthy - in a show car standpoint, and in a performance standpoint. I dont have the dope interior - I got the baby throw-up burgandy - throwback 90's color.... I dont have 700whp in a K series on this thing with a roll cage and slicks....What I may try for is Project Car, since that is what this car has been for me. I think I may be suited for something like that

On another note- Clutch is going good again with the used OEM unit, took the car to 8psi today and it didnt feel bad at all! pulls pretty decently, feels better than the DSM setup for sure. Im liking the way this cam feels up top, just pulls and pulls and by the time i enjoy the sweet sound and feeling, im at 7K on this lil sohc. It really opens her up, or at least it feels like it.

Colin, basemap is good to go so far. I made some changes to the warm idle, and my dumbass found an obvious vac leak on the TB (Alex DJCaz actually found it) and it has yet to die out again. I think I may move my wideband down on the bottom of the Dp, instead of by the turbo outlet. I'll get a bung and have that one for the dyno session.

Good to hear Lee - I have my wideband mounted just behind the motor, I think I should move mine foward a bit though so it cleans itself better.
Haha Vac leak causing the problem, Lol don't worry I've done worse (tuned mine with a boost leak, and found out later on)

I'm getting antsy too, and thanks to you. My cars seen more driving in the last week than it has in the last 5 months

The showcar statement you make is interesting - I feel the same, And I think its more bacuse the CB in my eyes is never completed, Theres always something else I want to do - And I know your the same in that respect

Great job Lee, so much time and effort put into this car. I like your persistance. Hope you get to finally enjoy a proper F22 turbo setup, as you're headed in that direction. I honestly think after knowing your past history on this project car, this is your best setup. I'm sure you have learned that in the end it is not cheap and for good performance, you need good parts.

The hood and grill may be gone by next weekend. Going back to all seattle silver and looking to get new 17s / trying to find a buyer for these 16" 5zigens...

Yea Cisco, I would have to agree, this is my favorite setup so far. Car feels great, and i can really tell the difference with this cam, even on this basemap that Colin spliced together. My Fseries used to steadily die out around 6K; just kinda pushin along. Now it continuously pulls, and I hit the limiter without warning - its like it jsut wants to keep gong. I love that! This will give me more revs, and allow me to better utilize this short geared tranny down the track - I used to be at the top of forth with my old motor...

oh, and I had to show a 350z what 7psi on an untuned basemap can do He looked kinda mad afterwards
