whoops sorry about that Colin, I could have sworn that i replied...oh well

    Is your idle unsteady?
    - The startup and cold idle is fine, no issues. After driving the car, I get a slight 'blurping' from the exhaust, idle does not change on the guage, but it has a blurping cam type sound after its been driven or revved. I had this issue on my old motor (B1) after it had been driven on the map that I provided you.

    What plugs are you running?
    - NGK V-power 7173's, should be -8's which is 3 step colder on the F series.

When you mash the throttle, are they holding the 11.7-12.3 afr's through boost or transistioning into boost?
    - Yes pretty steady, if they change its very slowly and gradually. Numbers on my wideband meter do not jump all over the place.

I believe when I first put in the map, it had no changes accept the wideband pin output. Only changes I have made since then are richening the boost tables from 0psi on up by 2 clicks.

So that cut off I hit in 4th gear before, that was the boost cut or lean protection? I only hit 7.8 psi on my boost sensor readings (from the wideband unit)

      Thankyou

Blurping - As in random "pops" out the exhaust?
I get that too, Its to do with the plugs (I'm running the NGK 8's too), I'll have to dig up some old PM's from Jose to remember fully.

Edit: What gap are you running on those plugs?

4th gear cutoff is lean protection - Boost cut works on engine cold/hot temperature.
      Cold - 7psi Hot - 25psi

So unless the engine was cold, it would have been a lean cut.

To get rid of that popping at idle, all you should have to do it richen it up and advance the timing. The plugs are just a tad too cold for low end, but are fine for the rest of the rpms.

It's a small sacrifice you make.

thanks slick; sorry man there is a local guy who wants the grill and hood actually :shurg:

Thanks for the tip Jose, I kinda thought it was the plugs. I dont mind the blurping at all...I'll just saw its the Bisi cam

It would be nice to get some 17s back on the ride again, hell i can even get drad radials for that size

Colin - cant believe it was running that lean then....i'll have to richen up the map a tad, or mess with the gear multipliers. On the plugs right now, im runnign specs outta the box. When I get tuned, i'll prolly start around .028 and move lower as needed.

I've hit it countless times, but thats what it's there for - For Safety. Leave it on but as I said, lower it to 13.0.
Its always happens to me at a fairly low boost psi - 6-7psi or lower, So I've never really been too concerned. It just annoys me and reminds me to get out there tuning again.
I like tuning (as does my mate) only cause he gets to do what I say on the throttle/gears as I change the map

I think the gear fuel compensation is the place to start, since it only happens in the higher gears just follow the % values I stated.

For memory out of the box the plugs were .030, change them to .035 for now, untill you start getting over 12psi. Then bring them down as necessary.

And X2 at the F&F comment, I was like, ummm wtf is he talking about, then Ohhhh click haha
