    Hey how things going . . . I see you havn't had the best of luck.
    Glad to see you havn't lost your motivation though
    Let me know what mods you end up doing to the F22A head, as I'm currently looking at doing some work on mine.

    BTW what version of Hondata were you running? I just downloaded Version 1.3.4.0 on Friday . . . went for a drive and datalogged, then I added .25 degrees timing in boost and uploaded my map to the ecu.
    I don't really know how, but my whole map got corrupted since downloading the new version - so here I was 20kms away from home with a car that wont even hold idle managed to get home and park it up for the night.

    Long story short - Make a backup of your map, and if you have the same issue, you need to start a new map and transfer all your values into the new map

        Current status:

        You bastard...

        I guess the HG blew right there and the coolant slowly leaked into the CC. The only other thing that confuses me, is when I look into the sleeved area of the block, I can see some orange rtv-looking substance that is loose in there. It is inside jsut about every side of the coolant jackets around the sleeves...I dunno what it is and/or how it got there if I know my block was cleaned...

          Did you install the motor together though or did you get a shop to do it? If you knew it was clean I think you let a shop put it back together. Not supposed to have silicone ish substance aorund that area. The only thing you should be using is copper spray if nothing more. Thats just wierd that could have caused the hg problem. Sorry to hear this man. Hopefully you can get it all resolved soon.

            i was assembled it with the shop and no silicon was used in that color on the entire motor. Only thing was copper spray on the HG of course

              well i have to say is i dont think the coper gasket spay would have helped the seal of the head gasket either the gasket seals or dosent
              it seems to me the head gasket was installed improperly my ? is was the studs ran down till they bottom out? and did u torque the head to proper torque sequence?? there are 3 sequences to torque to, to get the last torque
              if all this was done proper id have to blame it on the tune
              thats my opinion
              hope u do well soon

                        looking back on this car...its been thru alot, which is why I cant stop building!
                        This is like my 5th motor / 6th head in this chassis! At least each step was a progression -

                        F22a4->
                        F22a4(replacement)->
                        JDM F20A->
                        F20A+boost->
                        F22a4+boost->
                        F22a4+boost+5spd
                        F22b1+boost->
                        F22b1/F22a4+FullyBuilt

                        and thats just motor-wise

                          Yay, Parts list looking good man.
                          Good to see some headwork going on the F22A
                          What wastegate are you planning on running?
                          When you do the DIY exhaust porting, do you still use the oem gasket and just dremel that out to suit as well?
                          Looking foward to seeing the results, make sure you post up pics of the head, or pm them to me please

                              well im probably just going to port match to the gasket / and or manifold. Then im just going to take a little off on the inside, mostly smoothing it all out though. And making the dividers a little sharper as well

                              i'll be sure to get pics. I probably wont start for another week tho
                              contemplating on getting a new exhaust as well, looking to quiet it up a little and get rid of the fart can look. its getting to me now...
