Sup man. I was looking at your progress last night with all the nice photos, etc. Great work and hard work at that. I like seeing other people that share the same enthusiasm I do, do the research and hard work themselves. It's all about attitude and I feel we're on the same level, that's why anytime you need help/info and I can provide, I will.

Keep it up and I hope all goes smooth and if not, atleast that you can fix it without too much trouble. Keep an eye on all your critical info/gauges, especially when the motor is fresh. After you put about 3,000 miles, transfer to a good synthetic motor oil 10W-30 I would for Texas weather. No need for you to go 5W-30 as it don't get that cold. I suggest Torco SR-1, Klotz, Eneos. If not these, then it seems there is good results with Royal Purple, at the minimal Mobil1. Run good oil filters like Purolator Premium Plus, OEM Honda, STP, Bosch Premium Plus, Mobil1, WIX, PowerFlo. Basically, stay away from FRAM. I'll be changing my oil somewhere between 3,000-5000 miles after full break-in and running Torco SR-1 5W-30 full synthetic.

Don't wait 15,000 miles for your valve lash adjustment, the more you get on it in the higher RPMs, the tighter the lash gets it seems based of my red project. I do mine every 12,000 miles. Also, don't wait no 100,000 miles for a T-belt job/water pump replacement, I'm thinking of doing mine on white project at 30,000-40,000 miles. Higher than stock 6500 rpm max, changes everything.
