clutch arrives today...i'll have a review and comparison on it once it gets here

i went with a buddy of mine's company, Legal Speed Designs and LSDmotorsports. Ive ordered rotors from them before many times and now they make clutches. I trust his word and its rated at 494lbft so we shall see if it holds. Pics later tonight

first thing i noticed was how beefy the PP fingers look

they seem very thick, and very tough to bend. The clutch is nice and heavy, doesnt look to be made cheaply at all.

here is the LSD Dragger Pressure Plate next to a ACT Heavy Duty

they look similar, but the teeth are a bit thinner on the ACT HD and seem to be at less of an angle

Only other difference i saw was the tiny plates that hold on the rivet joints
the ACT had 1 plate goign from the big rivet to the small one (upper left hand corner)

the LSD had 2 plates, the same one as the ACT, as well as another that went to the center portion of the pressure plate seen here

Overall, it seems to be a good clutch for the money. I was willing to be a test dummy for it, so maybe others here can venture towards them. I know that I compared 2 diferent levels of clutches; the ACT HD is their middle rated PP while the LSD Dragger is the highest clamp rating they have. At least I know the clutch appears to be better than the HD, but I was not able to compare it to the ACT Xtreme. The only real test will be on the dyno and after I put the power down. We shall see then...

$297.75 is their price, which isnt bad for a clutch thats rated for 494 ft/lb

cool, the wiring on the side not as neat as some but since it won't be seen I don't know why anyone bothers making it look perfect lol...

annnd I always wondered where they put the inj resistor box when they did that lol...

looks good! how much time do you have into the first side so far?

                                update:

i had the drivers side a little messed up. I forgot there were 3 harness plugs so i had to do a little moving around, including the resistor box, but its all squared away

and the passenger side was finished, kept the fuse box in the stock location with the harness connectors just moved below and behind the shock tower

here is how the bay sits as of now

and heres is all the shit i got rid of

took out: emissions box (replacing map senor with a GM 3 bar), charcoal canister, lower PS hardline, high pressure PS line (now blocked with a bolt at the rack), and a bunch of other small brackets etc

I need to buy a small resivour for the PS rack, both to keep it filled and so it can vent air through a breather

as before, car will have no AC, PS, cruise, or heater

hopefully i can have the motor done soon, everything is just about ready
