I have a M2Y4 core right now at home, I want to do what you have done with the tall 5th gear the LSD and Carbon synchros. I wasn't sure if it would be cheaper to buy a new one or send mine in and have it redone.

I imagine it would be worth sending yours. Shipping to me, from SoCal to Central Coast, was about $100. Shipping to you would be more, but not enough more to make it not worth the effort. Are you planning on using any gears from the current tranny, or having them swap everything out?

I'm not sure if the trans is any good or not, I pulled an h from the yard and planned to rebuild it this summer to drop in my sedan. I would think they could check right?

Yes, but I would call and tell them how you got it and everything you know about it. My hunch is that they like to start from their reserves, but all reserves come from the same places, right?

I have an M2Y4. James said they would take 550 off for a good core and mine is working just fine.

That's a decent amount off. Now, how much to ship it? That's the question. I have some pics of the packaging that they used to send it, if you want to see.

Yea sure. I was going to see if I could find a trans pallet and use that. Either way the shipping won't be add much and I'll save money.

Well maybe I won't be ordering it just yet. I've been gone all winter and I can't get in my own garage because the plow truck packed snow up against my door. I'm only home for a few days so it will have to wait until I get back in April lol.

                      Shucks, oh well.

Here are some pics of my track visit last weekend:

Here is the first run from the day, the best run is updated to post #2:

And now, it's time to sleep until the road trip. Oil pan needs to be tightened down.

I haven't forgotten about my CB.

I'm done with hood props, look at what 2nd gen props did to my hood hinge!

So, those props are out now and for sale on Craigslist.

I got new hinges and battery tray hardware, because I'm also done with this Pewny PC680 battery.

I had one in from July to January, and Blacktrax had to replace it since it would not hold a charge when they got the car in January. Luckily, I had a backup for them to install. Then I painted the hinges and battery tray white for install (I know, I know, that's the AC line bracket, I forgot what it looked like).

I'm putting my old Optima red top back in for now, and a new OEM starter will be going in next. A full size battery gives me some piece of mind.

I have a Wix filter I want to install next, but before I do, I want to make sure it is my fuel filter that is causing some car dying issues when low on fuel. Would you guys mind helping me out on this thread? http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=206431

Have you weighed your car recently? I can't remember. I'm hoping to have mine back on the streets by the end of May. I'm shooting for 2300.

I weighed it only that one time after you asked me. Track day weight, based on the scale weight I measured, would have been about 2450lbs last time I went.

I want to beat that so bad lol. But I have a lot of heavier parts... I started at 2950, so 2300 is a stretch. Idk if I'll even be close.

It hungers for another stab at 14s. I'll either go on Sunday the 24th, or the following Wednesday on June 3rd.

I've got the Wix filter in now.

I'm trying to get the leaky spots in the oil pan to seal better. It leaks much less, but there is still a drip or two when parked after a few minutes of sitting.
