Got home from work today and ripped out the system. I saved the enclosure without damaging it. 3 Rockford amps, 3 subs, 2 power blocks, 2 capacitors, 12v power inverter, PS2, 10 disc changer, VCR and satellite radio receiver and 4 screens.
Now I have the fun task of removing all the wiring from front to back. Also, now with the enclosure gone, I have no trunk panels except for the original wagon floor/storage compartment.
That was quite a bit of weight removed from the back.
Washed the car, cleaned the engine bay, put my amber corners on, LED plate lights and haven't even touched the interior to clean it yet.
Valves need to be adjusted. Also burns a little oil. The exhaust on this thing is nice. 2.5" all the way back from the flexpipe. No cat, no resonator, just 2.5" all the way into the muffler. This car sounds really good.
Need to get it into work soon for an inspection and see exactly what suspension parts need to be replaced.
Anyways, here's some crappy cell phone pics for now.
Haha. Damn shame I need new rubber on these 17s, because they are so sexy on this car. The fronts I can get away with for a little while, but the rears are starting to crack on the inside shoulder and have some bad wear patterns.
Swapped over the purple VC, fuse block cover and rad supports from the coupe, and installed the clear blue dizzy cap. Engine bay looks a hell of a lot nicer now.
Also modified and installed a 9091 sedan lip on the front to finish it off.
The entire weekend will be dedicated to fixing this thing up.
I just spent 4 and a half hours removing ALL of the wiring from the stereo system. I think I have like 2 miles of wiring. This was absolutely ridiculous.
I had to strip the interior right down to nothing left except the dash and headliner to get all of the wiring and accessories out.
I was able to follow the wiring back and find where it was joined into the factory radio harness so that I can install my headunit and run the stock speaker locations.
I am freakin exhausted. That was so retarded pulling all that stuff out. Frustrating beyond words.
