      Thank you guys!!

Today, I took some time to see how good/bad the Bisimoto header really is, as far as leaking issue is concerned. Check the photos below.

So, there you have it. Big time FAIL on QC on their part, if you ask me. And you know, mine is not the isolated case as JoeyG will tell you.

The current header on the car is leaking, too. I had fabricated home-made gasket. It was OK for a week or two. Now, I learned the SUBARU Legacy's exhaust is good to use for my generic header. So, I bought a set from Advance Auto near me. See the photos below.

Looking great man. Sorry to see/hear about the bisi header not "working" right. How did the Subaru gasket work for ya?

I got it from Advance Auto ($12 USD) near me.

AutoZone and Pep Boys didn't show that they carry this gasket based on my online search.

Part number is MS95088. There are two gaskets in one box. I guess Subaru Legacy has H4 engine. One for each bank of the engine. .

No, I don't know if it fits onto your header.

Since I have one extra, I could mail it to you if you let me know your address. Provided that I don't mess up my first one upon installation,,,,.

Ok, got your address. Don't worry about shipping charge. I will use USPS first class mail, shouldn't be that much.

I just ask that you'll post your result here so other members may benefit from this.

Today, I replaced exhaust flange gasket for the header.

Above is a photo of my failed exhaust flange gasket. When I removed blown gasket I didn't notice there was yet another layer of metal stuck on one of flanges. Had I taken the upper header or down pipe, I would have noticed it. But I didn't,,,. If it wasn't for this layer, my home made gasket would have lasted longer, I think.

Modified Subaru gasket fit perfectly. I made a trip to a post office to mail out that extra gasket. No exhaust gas smell at all, yay!!

Now, I have to think about what to do with leaky Bisi header.

Hope the gasket worked for you!

Yesterday, I and my son worked on A/C compressor, TXV and dryer R/R. This is what we found!

This is 20 year old evaporator coil, filled with dust, dirt and stuff. My son said there were more stuff in the ducting. The smell of air coming out before the work was very musty smell. Now, after cleaning, it smell nice with a hint of orange de-greaser.
