I modded the TL steering wheel info switch. The resistors were removed, then two wires and a jumper soldered to the board. I drilled a hole through the circuit board and switch housing for the wires to exit. Now instead of stock 3 buttons on one wire, I now have a separate output for each button.

They will control temp up. temp down, and fan speed.

It would be awesome if you could retrofit a seat latching system like the middle seats of sport-utility to allow the seat to flip up out of the way to give you fuse box access. I imagine a hinged cushion would be much easier, though.

He could have hidden it under the rear seat, and used wagon flip up cushions.

There is hardly ever a need to acess the fusebox so spending a couple minutes to remove 4 bolts doesn't bother me.


The wagon has a flip up rear bottom cushion??

Yes, it's split so that you can flip up one side at a time. 40/60 if memory serves. If not for a fuse box then possibly some other goodies could go under there like the DVD receiver for a navigation unit.

I wanted to keep the wiring as clean as possible, so I used small dip style reed relays that could fit inside the dcc.

made up a sub harness for the air mix motor and coolant temp sensor for the heater box. The heater will unplug just like stock

I know thats behind the bumper under the fender but whats that going to be used for exactly? The gps blue tooth and stuff?

Those are for the lights, a/c, fans, horns
