This originally was my grandmothers car which became my parents spare car. I borrowed it from time to time. One of those times I had an accident so now it is mine. The process of fixing it began a while ago, then sat, but now is back on track.

I started fitting rear handles on the front doors.I looked the DIY on here but it lacked a bit on fitting the handle.

It fits like this before modding.


The mounting posts are deeper and angled different that the front.


After grinding down the posts it still sticks out


The actual cutout in the door is deeper on the rear than the front. The handle is also a tiny bit wider all the way around.


I ended up grinding down the sides and bottom as well as the back side


I also ended up grinding some plastic that was rubbing the outside skin


The lower lip on the opening was also causing the handle not to fit on the bottom so I ground it off.

The bolts holes are also off a bit so I filed them


After opening up holes and grinding lower lip



Now it sits flush

Shave hood squirters

Since the holes are still fairly small, I decided to just build up weld on top of weld to fill the holes. I think it is better to drill out the holes with a step bit and make round filler pieces to weld in but I wasn't that motivated.

I might've posted here before the October revert, but this car is looking really nice so far and I love all the little mods you've done here and there. Can't wait to see what else you come up with.

I rigged up some window switches from a legend that light up




I filled the hole for the window lock and molded in a newer mirror switch from a RSX




Adding leds to the handles that will light up when alarm is disarmed/dome light is on. Once the handles are painted, the wires will glued in






Added a light to a non lit trunk switch

Molded in Vigor light into the pillars. All the upper trim will be smoothed painted.

Tippey764 is seemingly always having me check Legends for parts and he mentioned this briefly one time as something he would like to try. So, I stole the idea. Not to take credit, just because I like doing stuff like this.
