I think it's just the tires that are giving the illusion of 4x4 status,as they're 195/55/15, but if you go back a page or 2, I have a pic with Vigor rims with 205/60/15s on them and it looks like it sits at stock height.

Either way, I feel like I could/should be lower, especially with this 15s, but right now is a decent compromise between ride quality and looks.

As for the engine bay, whatever my roommate has left over of some braided hose covers from his Camaro, I get the rest so I can dress up some of my lines and stuff. Also been contemplating some small bits of blue wire loom on some of the visible black harnesses. I don't want to get too much coloured stuff going on though. Then it just starts to look tacky.

The rest of the car looks so "serious" to me, that I figure the engine bay could have some fun going on.
    Paint the loom purple

It's all good man. My point was that I thought it looked fine as is and not really that 4x4 status. Maybe I am just used to looking at my 4x4 ride But when I look at yours I think it looks sporty-OEM

If I could offer up a suggestion it would be to try and snag a set of blue plug wires like others have suggested. I think that would really complete the look. And maybe paint the caps on the brake and clutch fluid reservoirs either blue or purple??? And that is a big maybe, just throwing it out there!

And if you are feeling like trying out the wire loom, ehh maybe just try it out lol. That starts to go a bit into the ricey category for me. And definitely no on the purple loom But hey man it's your car, do whatcha want, keep up the good work, and keep it classy

Yes, sporty-OEM is what I'm after. If I go lower, I feel I'll lose the overall OEM look and get into the slammed category.

I'm holding off on painting the caps because I want to get some resevoir cozies instead.

Blue plugs are on the list, but I'm not spending $80 just to have new blue wires. I'm kinda feeling the yellow as an accent colour though.

The loom, there wouldn't be much at all. I'm wanting to use more of the braided loom my roommate has.

BTW, I love those OZ wheels on your car, they suit it really well. I drive around an '05 Lancer OZ Rally at work as the shuttle car with the same rims.

Well cool beans man, sounds like you have it figured out Can't wait to see more progress then.

And I appreciate the compliment on the wheels . I am really happy with them. It was a lucky Craigslist find that I have not regretted for one second. I think they will go even better with the car once it is lowered some.

There's always progress. Your car will look great with a nice mild drop like mine.

Anyways, since I got some nice clean, purty pics up on the last page, let's have a look at what I had to start with 3 months ago.

                Couple changes this afternoon.

Went back to all OEM tails. I think it just looks way cleaner now, especially since all 4 lenses are in such great shape.

And I DIY'd this licence plate frame. This is the dealer frame that was on my Mazda 3. I sanded off the lettering, repainted it black and put the Accord trunk emblem on it. Once I did that I shaved my trunk emblem.

Also stuck a HONDA trunk emblem in the grille too. I'm just waiting for my red grille/trunk emblems to show up hopefully this week.

Nice idea I really like the accord on the licence frame

Today I had intended to make chrome tail light surrounds like the JDM tail lights, however I couldn't make it work to a way I thought looked good so I scrapped the idea and used the chrome I bought to finish off my bumpers, since I already did the side moldings.

Oh, and found the Mugen emblem on the grille of a Sunbird GT Turbo at the JY lol.

Finally did the door sill mod.

Looking minty fresh as always , the Chrome on the bumpers really finishes it off well

Yeah, I'm happy with how they turned out. I only have about 8" of the roll left.

I'm bummed I couldn't make the trim work for the tail lights, because it would have looked really good.
