Unfortuneately bro, unless it's an actual 90/91 JDM grill, your gaps are going to be incorrect. Not with the bumper, but with the headlamps themselves. The JDM grill is like 1/2" shorter than the USDM grill. The USDM grill will overlap the chrome moulding surrounding the headlamps. I know this first hand because I have seen it countless times. The USDM grill will end up sitting in front of the chrome on the headlamps. So it's more of a step rather than a gap. It sucks because JDM grills are $ unles you get hooked up. I paid a lot for mine and it's all beat up. I'm ok with mine being beat up because I am going to chop it up and paint it similar to my USDM grill that's on my car now.

Yay! 20,000 views!
I am debating something. Should I go bolt on h22a4? Or build the F? I think it would be like 1400-1500 for an entire H swap. But I could build the F22a6 for maybe 800. I have the cash in hand. Like 2,200 cash. But I want like 1000 a side for repairing the rear bumper and getting the entire car painted.
So should I try to set a bit more cash aside for an h22? If so how much and how hard would it be to swap?
OR should I build the F22?
I know if I do build the F22 it might not be street legal. In that case, there would be no point if I had to constantly swap parts every 2 years to pass smog.

If you must modify the engine, I highly recommend going with a H22 swap. Modifying the F-series will make it difficult to pass smog; furthermore, you won't be making as much power as a stock H22, and reliability suffers.
If you want to go easy on the wallet, how about a F20B swap? You might find a good compromise there. 200hp, much cheaper engine.Original-Owner 1991 Honda Accord

I vote for the H swap for many reasons. Just find a USDM H22 and set it up to be bar certified. Instant 200hp with a few bolt ons, daily drive-able, and reliable swap, VTEC, 8000rpm red line etc...
The reason I am sticking to the F is merely a personal one. I once considered an H swap myself.

H swap has its benefits. I considered an H swap as well, but not without the proper help.
I'm personally staying with the F22A6, because I am somewhat of a purist, despite my tuner temptations to get an H22. I've also got many parts for the F22 to begin with, and I always remember that my main goal of my car is not power (but a few bolt-ons here and there wouldn't hurt ) so I don't NEED to swap an H.
If you can do a really nice job with the swap, then yes perhaps you should consider it. but keep in mind theres LOTS to consider when you "swap" an H. straightforward on paper, but you've probably never touched any of that stuff to begin with. Things to miss, important things, so make sure you have a roadmap to success and people to help you along. You don't want to get stuck somewhere and lose motivation in the swap, and worst of all, your car.

Good mature decision. The only reason I did my swap swap was because my f22a6 blew on me.2013 Honda Fit Sport Alabaster Silver Metallic GE8

My goal with the F if to be around 200hp. But smog is a bitch.

DAMN YOU CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS! And I suppose I can stay and have a mild and street legal build with the F- series. I know there is a ws2 for sale in my area. I'll talk to my dad about that.
