Road Trip - Las Vegas
I have to admit, as a performance oriented type of person, I love the Prelude shifter assembly. It feels so crisp and solid. The CB shifter is two plates together with rubber bushings between the two plates which provide a softer shift in between gears. The Prelude unit is just one plate so it feels waaaay more solid. The shorter throw feels good as well.
Driving steadily most of the time, I was able to hit 31mpg driving @ 70 mph. I have squeezed 16 gallons into the tank and when I filled up it only took 14.2 gallons. I could of easily pulled another 30 miles out of the tank but I was cutting it too close for comfort as is. I also didn't mention that an Older EF SI wanted to play and I pulled away from him. Took it to about 110, and after that I was doing 80 for a bit. I think I'm still getting great milage.
I hoping to get a few pics with the city in the background during this trip.

On a positive note, on the way home I was able to get 32mpg. When I filled up this time I could only stuff 14.5 gallons in the tank wich means if I pushed it 500 miles on the tank @ 70 mph was totally doable. If I had a bit more self discipline and would of kept it @ 65mph I would of made it all the way home from Vegas on one tank. Maybe next time.

Aye carbon!!!
Took a nice drive out to a friends house to look at a carbon fiber hood today. It was about and hour and a half long drive for me. It was interesting to see normal people looking at my car considering it's mostly stock. They were looking because I made the drive wile hoodless. I have never driven anywhere without a hood before.
The price was right and once again I couldn't pass it up. Before setting it on the car and admiring, I was dead set on color matching it. The plan was to color match while leaving a hint somehow that it was a carbon fiber hood. I was surprised to how well it matched with my blacked out headlamps and grill. Itstatcb7kid707 suggested laying some transparent white over it so I think that's the direction it will be going. Big THANK YOU goes out to Itstatcb7kid707 for the great price on a decent product.

I got that for whenever you want it. Just remind me to bring it next meet or something. Unless your up in San Jo, then I can just deal with it that sooner.

I think it'll look good either way..paint matched or CF weave.
