So true. Hey if your at BLOX this year, let me know. We'll roll in together. That goes for anyone else wanting to make a good Accord presence there.

Thanks. That means a lot considering I went to the meet on thrashed stocks. Your car is looking good as always. I think us in NorCal have a strong CB family. I am proud to be a part of it.

So I have been real hesitant on updating my MRT lately. Due to the recent spike in thefts everywhere, really has me paranoid. I have had a car stolen and stripped before and it hurt me to the core. I have been making progress however. I have decided to proceed to update my build thread. Here it goes in chronological order.

Thanks to the heads up by moes92CB7, I came up on a set of JDM tails in really good condition for a real fair price. I originally wasn't planning on getting JDM tail lamps. When the opportunity arose, I couldn't pass it up.

I now have all the pieces to button up the intake part of my build.
      3" AEM CAI
      68mm Skunk II TB
      H22Ax upper plenum
      Blacktraxx IAB Spacer
      F22A6 lower runners
Bisimoto Thermal intake manifold to head gasket.

Next I picked up a 68mm Skunk II Throttle body with a Blox throttle position sensor and a Denso MAP sesors still attached. I bought it off of itstatcb7kid707 for a steal. Frankly I am surprised no one else picked it up. He had it listed in his FS thread for a long time. It was priced well from the get go. I usually see these things go for $200.

Not in chronological order but related to the TB. After the picking up the TB I really got moving on preparing my IM for the increase in air flow. obviously the plenum mounting surface is quite a bit larger than the H22 so I have been working on opening that up to match the TB. It's not quite finished yet, but it's getting there.

As for the other end where the plenum will be mating up to my Blacktraxx IAB spacer. I matched up the openings to the match the spacer.

The runners are next. I need to remove quite a bit of material before this end is ready. The runner on the left is ready. If you run your finger down the runner up to the edge where it will mate up to the head you will notice that it kinda kicks the airflow up. I am also trying to recreate that design in the modification. not sure if it will actually do anything. i will try to get a better picture of this when I am further along.

Plenty left for me to buy before I can finish up my exhaust.

I know everyone has build they look up to and highly respect. For me I must say that the style of Ronald Type-R's CB is my favorite. He has moved onto his next build yet once again and finally decided to part with his White leather wrapped Personal Neo Grinta steering wheel with black spokes. Luckily he was kind enough to give me first dibs. For me it was a total impulse buy. Those tend to be the ones that I am most happy with. I would have really regretted passing this thing up. Some might think I over payed, at one point I thought the same, but I am completely happy with this purchase. Thanks Ronald

Shortly after the steering wheel I remember that itstatcb7kid707 also had a momo steering wheel adapter for sale. Even though the Personal steering wheel holes don't match the momo hub, it will work perfectly. I am picking up a Works Bell steering wheel quick release. Nothing fake on my ride. You gotta pay to play and I am getting lucky on some of this stuff.

Thanks everyone for checking out my MRT. I appreciate all comments.

Duuuuude... Nice come up on the tails and wheel. The JDM tail lamps are gorgeous. And i've been lusting after that Personal wheel for sooo long. Glad you got it cuz i know you'll take care of it. I think it's cool you idolize Ronald's CB build...cuz so do i! It was/is the blue-print for what i hope to achieve, performance wise, with my CB. Looks fucking stellar too!

Great work with the port-matching/flow improvements. You've got an awesome plan for your SOHC. I know this is gonna be an F build for the books.

Can't wait to see more from you, bro.
        Keep it up!

Thanks man. There are so many accord here that are done right. Ronalds is my favorite aesthetically. He did go through some crazy suspension mods too. I am planning on picking up a real deal holyfield GReddy GRacer lip like he had. Not planning on running the fender flares though. Honestly I am in love with the steering wheel and it should only compliment my Frost White exterior. It's also cool knowing that it's the actual "one" that he had on his CB. I take it as paying tribute to a build I highly respect.

My IM set up has changed from my original plans. I have been following jdm92_accorn build. It's very informative and a good documentation of his changes and their effectiveness. I will be feeding the 68MM TB with a 3" AEM CAI. The modded upper plenum will bolt directly to the BlackTraxx spacer. that will be attached to the A6 lower runners which will be deburred and port matched. I was originally going to run functional IAB's but it will have a negative effect now that i picked up the bigger TB.

I also picked up an APEXI SAFC II I think i forgot to mention that. I well be a lot more excited when it all comes together. Time to hunker down and stay on course to complete my exhaust and everything else I need to get that done!!!

Nope. The chrome is not perfect and there are some scuffs that are there but nothing that some good polishing cant take care of. As for molestation, It's probably going to piss some people off but oh well. They will be modified by me to fit into the theme of the rest of the car. I'm not gonna get too specific. our just going to have to wait to see for yourself.

I'm planning on going to CAM, but I might have to fly solo out there. My GF's cousin is due around that time so she might not come. Us NorCal folks should do one crazy ass caravan. That would be awesome.

Not like the Sedan was any less of a car because it had 4 doors. I came out nicely in the pictures. However the coupe is already off to an awesome start. I was hoping you guys would of come and parked next to us at Chronicles. You never got to check out my car or my buddy's. we'll make sure that doesn't happen again next time.

Everything looks great in pictures. Planning on polishing the tail lamps and cleaning the white leather steering wheel. Hoping that after that they will match the pictures.

I am down to set up a caravan. We should start planning it now.

                                Small update

Today I was able get a few thing done on the CB.

A buddy of mine gave me his old shift boot that was in almost new condition. It just needed some protectant. Since I had to remove this section of the center console I decided to replace it at the same time.

Mine had the usual tears that these get due to time.

                                Finished console

Then for the real task. Out with the old (CB7 shifter)...

... in with the new. Prelude shifter, Mitsubishiv5 powdered coated base, completely disassembled, re-greased and reassembled. I also opened up the rear mounting holes on the base with a Uni-bit so the mounting bolts would line up with ease.

Also picked this thing up and installed it last week. Found it at the Yard. It was in good condition with no broken tabs. Whenever we come across these at the yard they are always broken. We found 2 that week that were both not broken. Naturally I only took the better of the two and left the other one. It still needs to be washed and some protectant applied to the rubber. A good polish might be in it's near future too.
