AEM Under Drive Power Pulleys

I didn't get to work on the CB like I had planned on Sunday. It was just too eFing hot so I just ended up spending some quality time with my GF. I started work today at 6am thus I was off by 3pm. I took advantage of the daylight and did a few things. AEM power pulleys are now installed. I wanted to remove the fogs to swap lenses but I ran out of daylight.

Everyone know what a stock alternator looks like.



Nut holding the Alt. pulley on came off with ease. Thankfully this one isn't reverse thread like the P/S pump



Comparing pulleys and the differences in size are easily noticeable

On a side note. preliminary pics. Someones DC strut tower bar came in today. It was a bit weathered so I decided to do some work to it. Looks like I am going to have to once again pull out the polishing supplies.

It should turn out nicely



As you can tell, this thing has seen better days



The worst part is that there is some major pitting going on. Hopefully a sanding block will bring this beautiful bar back.



Last but not least, Mounting bracket needs straightening.

Thanks Alex. I have actually had those pulleys for quite some time now. I have been hesitant to install them because of what was going on with my P/S pump. Now that I have that all sorted out, I figured it was about time to install them.
Bisimoto Header should be coming soon... and I also have a SHoRTBUS project going on as well.

Pulleys look dope. That bar is going too look sick. I cant wait to see it in person.

I will try to take it easy with the sandpaper bro. Those pits just need a little attention. I figured might as well shine it up for you. If it's done by Heather Farms meet next mo, I'll just give it to you there.

Some super sauce-a-rific wheels. Ivo found these wheels a few months ago. A rare set of OZ/Carlsson Hartge 3 piece wheels. Decal on the wheels dates them at 1990. The project is finding the pieces to make them wider to suit the Audi properly and get some staggered look going on. I don't doubt that they will look gorgeous when they are done.



I was doing some test fitting to get an idea of how it's all going to turn out.

Soon enough. I am doing like you and looking High and Low to get the parts i need. My hopes are high at the moment. Looks like I am close to getting everything I need to make it happen.

What can I say, I've loved these particular wagons since they came out in 02. I just happened to come across a good deal through having good friends. I am in love with the wagon. Not too much in store for that beast though. I need to pay it off first. Just need to maintain it properly and hope it treats me right. Upkeep on an S4 isn't cheap.

Thanks. I haven't really gotten on it since I threw them on. I'm not sure I will notice any difference being that before I installed the pulleys, I didn't have a functional power steering system. I had to rebuild my pump so it's been about 2 years without even a belt on that system. I am not even used to having power steering back on the car. Billet looks nice though.

Here are some completed pics of the polish I did on Hostiles DC strut tower brace. I didn't sand deep enough to take all the pits out or all of the imperfections. It definitely looks 10 x's better.

Here's the bar at 800 grit with pits still visible and better at 1000



2000 grit and 3000



And Final product after polishing out with Eagle Never Dull first and following that up with Mother Billet Aluminum Polish
