I found a brittany blue with tan leather SE in the classifieds the other day for like $1200. Was SUPER clean...except the rear quarter panel, tail light and corner of the bumper was smashed in. FML.

I miss my SE. But I am having lots of fun with the Jetta.

Weird though, I put so much work into the Accord and NOBODY ever in person complemented my car. Now I drive a Volkswagen with a few mods and people pull up to me at red lights and go "nice car" and people working at the drive thru's even complement it.

Feels kinda shitty getting complements and credit for work I didn't do, yet I did so much work on the Honda and got nothing.

But, I don't really care, I built the Honda to my taste, and the VW was already built to my tastes, so it's all good really.

I sold the mazda for $100 yesterday

i paid 400 for it, used it for 3 weeks. it needed brakes, 2 tires, bodywork and struts. it would probably never pass inspection, so I put it up for $400 obo and a guy offered me $100 and I laughed and I was like alright if you show up with it, it's yours.


So he did.

91 Jetta.

Rebuilt 1.8L 8v DigifantII. Autotech 270 degree sport cam, K&N filter, full 2.25" catback with Scorpion muffler. Not sure what else is done to the motor, but it's quick for a 1.8.

Lowered on H&R Race springs, new bushings. 16" Enkei wheels with 205/45/16 Toyo rubber.

Mk2 round headlight conversion, clear corners and signals.

Recaro buckets from a Jetta Trophy GTX edition. Apparently these seats are super rare. Sony headunit and Infinity speakers. Short shifter.

Fun car to drive. Gets lots of looks and complements. More than the Accord ever did.

I actually traded it straight up for the Accord.

Tint will be one of the last things I do, and I'm getting a windshield next weekend. Also need a shifter rebuild kit cuz its super sloppy and the bushings are all worn out, but that's a typical VW issue.

Otherwise, everything else is pretty good and it's a nice clean car. I think it was a good trade, as much as I miss the Accord.

its a 91. Second last year for the Mk2's before they turned into ugly ass mk3s.

There's an identical Jetta 2 blocks from me, but it's slammed on coilovers ad OEM VW snowflake rims. Looks soooo sick. And black leather too. It's totally pimp.

Muthaf*kker. Got my first speeding ticket tonight in 8 years, right behind my house too. Dammit. Got clocked at 80kmh in a 60kmh passing a guy doing like 40 and the cop was sitting at the intersection and got me.

He dropped it down to 70 in a 60 and its only $78. Bah. Oh well. There goes my clean record. My last speeding ticket was in 2002 for 154kmh in a 100kmh zone.

Bringing this one back from the dead! On September 17, 2011, I traded my Grey 1991 EX-R straight up, plus $250 to get the SE back.

I made a 1000km, 23 hour trip to go get it. Lots of trouble on the way, but was well worth the hassle.

16 months without this car and I was finally able to track it down and get it back, and surprisingly, not being a completely haggard pile of junk.

Looks a little beat cosmetically, but I'm surprised my rattle can jobs stood up for a year and a half.

Everything else is pretty much the way I left it when I sold it.

Now I can get a start on restoring it back to it's former glory.
