get rota slips and THEY'LL last forever. powdercoating doesn't guarantee anything. it's better than painting them (which will definitely chip), but it's not going to be perfect. if you scraped/curbed the rim - you would expose the alloy underneath, or the powdercoat job might not look as pro as you think. they tell me that it'll look like a darker black in some areas - because the powdercoating won't hit the whole face of the rim evenly. it'll hit the spokes mostly, and the area under the centercap might be a lighter black, the lip might be lighter, etc. rotas will also probably be a bit lighter. you pay for what you get for = rota slips. *i* did a quick-job painting of mine, because they're my winter beater wheels and i really don't care if i get a few chips here and there. so if you're going daily driven with the wheels (which it seems like), i'd either get the rotas or have them powdercoated professionally. depends on how tight you are on cash.
on a sidenote, i just wanted to point out your picture attaching. whenever you attach a picture, it takes up hosting space on cb7tuner. i don't have a problem with the pictures, you can post as many as you want of whatever you want - but i'd really appreciate it if you would have someone else host them. the attach a file feature is really meant for noobie posters (which i know you aren't!). also, if you were to post up a bunch of pictures in only one thread, you wouldn't have to create multiple posts - which also takes up space here (not to mention whore up your profile thread). you might want to read up on this new sticky i posted: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...&threadid=3403
it shows you all you need to know
good luck with the wheels!
