I have a stack of reciepts for the car......over time, all in all, ive invested about 30K into it, and about a gallon of blood loss, and like 400lbs of sweat....and all it had been for me is a reliable daily driver....thats about it...

I bought a new car about 2 months ago.....Its a 2006 Volkswagen GTI, package 1 with sunroof, and sirius satellite radio.....It has the red gti mats, cloth interior, window visors (rain guards) greddy turbo timer, eclipse amps, boston sub....theres plenty more coming soon for this beast....i still have the accord, but its sittin in the garage, I really want to pull the engine out, and do a wire tuck, and have the whole car repainted, along with the bay....IDK, we'll see what happens. For now, heres a pic of the new ride....

Hey, I picked up the same wheel you have, 96' ITR non-SRS MOMO, (180 CAD ) and I put it on and all....but I have no horn, and I'm no wiring expert either. I Have an EX-R so it has Cruise Control as well. It seems the CC and the horn were together on one plug, and went into a circular contraption that allowed the wheel to turn without tangling wires....I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

But anyway, that plug was recessed into the back of the OEM wheel, and this wheel doesn't have any plugs at all...I saw some wires inside it for the horn, but I'm really not sure what they would hook up to, even on the car it came on. I can do without my CC, however, due to the fact that my horn isn't hooked up, it resulted in my brake lights not working either, as they share the same fuse and my guess is that the circuit is not complete so I have no brake lights.

Any tips? I did have to remove the black plastic spinning part, as it woudn't fit because the back of the ITR wheel is flat, so I just have that empty plug left inside the colum cover. Any help would be appreciated. I feel sketchy driving around with no BR light...could easily get rear ended.

My guess would be to take apart the old steering wheel and get to the plug thats integrated into it and plug it in and see if your brakelights work. When I changed out my steering wheel, I did not have this problem. Im thinking that theres something else that could have happened to the car besides the horn not being attached. I don't have cruise control, nor do I have a horn yet, soon enough though, ill figure out how to hook that up. Ill let people know on this site when I figure it out. At least for now, id worry about the brake light situation first, then go from there.......

well at least i'm not alone. i'll check my fuse for my horn/BR...could be when i was messing around with the plug it may have cause it to pop or i accidentally shorted it with my pliars.

Well....ive begun a dash led conversion, and an attempt to lighten up the interior just a bit....after about 30 hours of soldering and fitting, ive come this far....

And the euro r shifter assembly.....


Theres a few bugs I need to work out with the climate control led's and the deck led's, but when they're done, ill show em off.....
