$35 replacement plan? How does that work?

Exactly. But, in the fine print:
        http://www.discounttiredirect.com/certsMoreInfo.html
What do the Certificates for Free Replacement not cover?

Abnormal tire wear. Reasons for abnormal wear include a vehicle being out of alignment, suspension problems or improper tire inflation.

**Please read "What is not covered" regarding inspection. Tires returned for inspection must pass those guidelines for credit to be issued.
I know there will be camber wear, that's a given. I don't want to waste $35 to get an email/phone call saying that I won't receive a replacement because of camber wear.

Just one time? Does he have to pay shipping for the blown/new tire?

            How am I covered?
In the event one or more of your tires fail due to defect, or incurs damage that cannot be repaired, Discount Tire Direct will replace it absolutely FREE, (this includes freight to you). Regardless of the number of miles you put on the tires, you will be covered for the life of the original tread down to 3/32" remaining, or 3 years from the date of purchase. We have been offering this warranty for over 30 years. This Certificate for Free Replacement is unbeatable in the tire industry!
I guess if I have to get a tire replaced, I'll need to purchase the replacement plan again for that tire.

Well, it's $35 for all four, so roughly $9/tire.

So if you get a blown tire you'll have to pay $9 for that tire?

The replacement tire will be free. I may have to pay $9 to continue my replacement plan for the new tire though.

This is all an assumption. Once I hear back from the member on here that works for Discount Tire, I'll ask him about it.

FYI i think the nearest Discount tire is in atlanta, so by the time you figure gas/food/time/boredom, that 9$ doesn't seem worth it. But it may not be worth.

Oh, I didn't think about that. But, having it replaced at a Discount Tire dealer only makes sense. So, $9+$20(gas)+$15(food, I'd have someone with me)= A new tire anyways.

                            They're only $12. But, I'll remove those.

lol, I had a nightmare about this last night. Except the tree was about 10x's bigger and actually hit my car.

A HUGE storm came through around 3:30-4:00 today and caused major damage to a good 10-15 square mile area. On my way home, I had to go around 7 downed trees (only about 10 miles driving).

The largest tree near my work happened to fall do to the wind. Luckily, I didn't park in the parking spot I normally do. If I had, my car would be crushed at the moment. Pulling in, I decided to be lazy and just park in front of the abandoned store next door to my work.

Well, about 20 mins into the storm, I heard a loud snap and saw a tree start falling. It sucks that the only thing I could do to save my car was say "oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, please don't hit it, please don't hit it, please don't hit it". The tree fell in slow motion, and luckily landed about 5 feet from my car.

(You can't see my normal parking spot due to a huge tree being in the way.)
