the new retro is in the works GBA, I bought some black flat heat resistant paint for the low beam reflectors, I also bought a dremel with 300 piece accessory kit, 1500grit sand paper for sanding down the headlight lense to remove fine scratches and repolish, still need polish though got the rest of the stuff today on sale ftw!,

I still am looking for some yellow paint to do my high beam reflectors yellow but am not sure where to go give me an idea gba?

I am also looking for a heat gun, the one I had is toast...

hey man, for the yellow paint...go to Michaels or some other craft store and look for stain glass paint, thats where I found mine, and it worked great

picked up a heat gun on sale $12... also got the yellow paint for the high beam reflectors.




going to be doing some cleaning up, sanding, prep work, painting,and polishing this week.

No, I haven't found shrouds as yet, so am debating if to use any

I painted most of the stuff black, cut off shield, projectors, housing trim, and the low beam relectors(no pictured)


check out the high beam refelctors, i used reflective yellow paint should stand out hardcore...



polished the lenses came out good, but these lense have a lot of stress on them...


all in all its -4 degrees celcius outside in toronto today some of my paint even ran but what can you do...

and I have no house or garage to do my work in, I live in a condo and they have rules in place I cant make noise after 9pm, so I do everything in the day and in my appartment... slowly comming along

retro update

so right as of right now, my retro has slowed down a bit because I have been busy, and some school is comming up.

Also I have decided to sell my 04 clear lense tsx projectors, which I have painted black, and kept the chrome ring because I was going to use no shrouds, also I painted the cut off shield black as well to remove the rainbow effect from the cut off.

But none the less the retro will still go ahead as planned and I will be completing it in the comming weeks.

I was out testing my new projectors, they are 05 ap2 clear lense ftw! S2k are amazing compared to tsx which I have 2 sets currently (04 and 05 both clear lense), I have to say the cut off is razor sharp and there is much more light intensity spread.


In this picture I couldn't step back far enough to capture the cut off complete and there was something in the way on the right side thus the line







the colour hue in this picture in real life is so much more intense, it was actually a deep purple, it flickers purple/blue/white deep colours really bright and intense, it makes the tsx look like halogens haha .


so update on the new retro is: jdm 1 piece 92/93 with 05 ap2 clear lense and ap2 shrouds, should be complete by mid may, again I have no experience in retrofitting this will be my first.
