james - yeah i did my rims gunmetal a long-ass time ago with that duplicolor rim paint, and it wasn't the best stuff to paint with. but it's tough as shit, so as long as you have enough paint on there, it should last ya a while. and say what you want, i think the bronze looks sexy as hell on those (our) rims, and i'm sure i'll still paint mine that colour when i get the chance.

shadow - oh man, it's not gonna be easy to find one.. not only is the company out of business, but it was just a local toronto company to begin with, and they didn't sell a whole lot of pre-made stuff. that one that is on my car was MADE on my car, and it's all made to the stock muffler dimensions. they just asked me what size of exhaust piping i wanted, how much packing i wanted in the muffler, what tips i wanted, and how far i wanted them to stick out, then they went to town. i got to see a sheet of steel, a 2 1/2" pipe, a flange, some fiberglass(i think?) packing material, some punched steel mesh and the tips i picked off the wall turn into the muffler that is on there now i don't think i'll ever find another muffler like that

thanks man! yeah, i think everyone's thought about boost at one time or another. it's not something that'll be happening any time soon though. besides not having anything but debt to my name for a while now, i wouldn't be able to afford the down time and increased maintenance time, seeing as i need my car reliable every day. if i ever get another daily driver and make a bit of coin, boost may very well be an option, although i'd rather supercharge than turbo.

well, i'm almost done this stretch of schooling, and i have to report to my posting in edmonton in mid-may. took a study break and whipped up a little repair/mod list i need to do while i have a few days at the parent's house before shipping off

car list: May3-May12

-sway bars (suspension techniques front+rear, sitting in paren't garage in an unopened box)
-drop (get rid of winter monster truck mode again)
-upper control arm/ball joint (been gettin a lil wiggly)
-summer rims/tires (spongy-ass winters do me no good on bare roads)
-rear camber washers (been meaning to do this for years.. dunno why i haven't)
-fiberglass busted 90-91 grille (i really miss the look of the 90-91 frame)
-oil change (when your car's got over 480,000km on it, you gotta treat her right)
-tranny fluid change (AC DELCO synchromesh is amazing stuff)
-driver's window lift mounts (good ol frozen window ripped out of the lift mounts syndrome)
-pass. window lube + mount check (been getting a little slow on the way up)
-focal 5 1/2's (the jbl's have been great for fill in's, but i miss my focal's)
-tach illum. wire (i think this was only ever hooked up for like a day before i ripped it out haha)
-gas gauge and SRS light (my gas gauge needle has been off the magnet and reading more than full ever since i put my gauge faces in, ohh.. 5 years ago? :S)
-seatbelt thingy (buckle receiver, just in case edmonton cops are douche bags about my 4-point)
