Started doing some real mods today.
Got an OBD-2 H23 IM, (jdm h23 IM) for super cheap so I decided to try and install it yesterday.
Total pain in the ass! haha. Everything was going fairly well, though I had to switch over the tps, egr, iat sensor, iacv, and fitv. I have everything except for the egr valve swapped over as it would not budge, no matter what, and the bolts holding it on are now stripped. I need an egr valve stat.
I wasn't sure if everything would transfer over, but it seems as if it all did. There is one difference though, and that is the fuel rail and where the injectors go in.
On the f22a1 the injectors go into the im and they have 2 seals. This IM only has room for 1 seal. I used one seal and put them in, and they seem to fit alright. I reused my old fuel rail, as the h23 fuel rail is different, as it is on the standard usdm h23 im.
The im is on the car now, but with no egr valve and my #1 injector is leaking at the top fromt the fuel rail. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it all straightened out and I can get it up and running. I will most likely take the egr valve off my red car and go with a straight block off plate on the turbo car.
Up next will most likely be a cam, probably my 272. It won't be a beast to drive, but it will definitely be a lot more fun, and I think with this exhaust it will sound awesome.
And finally, I have been offered for this car what I was asking for it while it was for sale (it isn't any longer) but I have declined those offers, as I actually kind of like driving it, despite it not being as fun to drive as the turbo car.2010 Taurus SHO - Livernois Goodies

The obd-II jdm h23 IM and TB are now on and the car drives great. The vacuum nipples are different than the obd-I usdm h23 IM (the jdm version has more). I am going to clean the FITV tomorrow or the next day, as I am having a slight idle surge. However, if I unplug the IACV (I cleaned it tonight) it idles just fine at about 1100 rpms to warm up. The throttle plate had been sticking, but I just took off the nut and washer holding the little throttle linkage off, wound the spring once more, and voila, the throttle plate sticks none at all.
Also, the area where the injectors go into the IM are different on this than on the f22a and on the usdm h23 IM, these are shorter it seems, and only have room for one of the bottom seals on the injector. Thus far it has been doing fine, not leaking any fuel.
That's about all for now. She is still slow, but it screams at about 3000+ rpms, sounds like vtak! ha.
