Terence, you have problems making decisions, don't you?
Quit farting around with crappy suspension setups and just SAVE for something decent. When you get the money, then spend. I know you have the capability to make this happen, it's you that are the problem. You blow the money before you should.
Skunk2 on OEM shocks, not good. I've heard they are decent springs, so if you like them, all you need are good shocks. If you don't like this setup at all, then save for a full spring/shock combo or full coilover setup. Then, sell off this original setup to recover some money.
Too many people complain about being broke or on the cheap, but THEY are usually the problem. I know I could investigate anyone's car expenses and find areas of improvement/areas of wasted money...INCLUDING my project (trial & error). That's why I try to give suggestions for others not to waste, so they can actually achieve their goals and not get frustrated.
Personally, I'd keep the Skunk springs and go with Koni Yellows or Tokico Illumina shocks, whatever you can find the best deal on, even good used. I think that's your most cost-effective route with good results.

yeah. i have plenty of areas on my CB where ive wasted money. i wont anymore. this month is about getting the suspension right. the only reason why i have the Skunk2s is because a guy i was swapping a motor out for was giving me his Skunk2 coilover/Illumina set for payment. but when i get the set up home, i found out that 3 of the 4 struts were blown. so i took the coilovers and put them on the CB for now til i get some more struts.
i had an eye on some KYB AGXs but they're gonna get sold before i can get to them. shnit...so my plan now is maybe get 3 more Illuminas to complete the set up. ill be selling these Skunk2s to 1990ex and ima pick up some Megan Racing springs. ill save for my Func./Form's later this year or beginning of next. that way, it'll leave me some money to get some new bushings and finish getting the parts to my wagon rotor upgrade.
