plenty of people run nitrous without a tune. a tune would make it better but im sure ill be ok.

yeah. they were used. they were on a CD5 sedan. he wrecked it. i was expecting ast least one to be blown. but not like 2 or 3. either way, i may just roll on the Skunk2 coilovers til i get something better. i was thinking about getting the Megan Racing coilover sleeves but being that i got some cash coming in this month, i may just get some Func./Form Type Ones.

They are bouncy as hell, especially in the rear. I'm pretty sure they're blown. I'm gonna probably get Konis or Bilsteins next.

yeah. the ones i got were blown. i think i might end up getting the Func/Form Type Ones instead of trying to replace them. but it might be a few months down the road tho. right now i just need a good sleeve/strut combo. i think the Megan's on some KYB GR-2s might do nicely til i get the Type Ones.


right now, ill be getting a loan later this month along with a paycheck with only likw 2 bills coming out of it. i got some presents i need to by for my girl and the kids. after that, ill still have money left over to be able to get my rear sway bar, new bushings, full coilovers and some parts for power.

the end of next month, my car will be done and every should be fixed so during the winter, i can just sit back a chill. haha.

I dunno about takin out a loan to mod these cars... I spent $400 on my suspension this weekend, and I still have to buy shocks. I feel like just selling it.

I spent 320 on labor and parts to complete my 5 lug conversion (crossmember, lower ball joints), and another 70 on an alignment.

If I get new shocks, I think I will just get the $300 Koni Oranges.

Needed stuff machined, plus I live in BK and park on the street. I don't have the time or tools to do much beyond oil changes or like changing out shocks/springs.

for me. im not sure what to do man. i find set up for rock bottom prices(and good ones too). but then i think in my head "i want the Func./Form Type One's." shnit. right now im on OEM struts(or will be tomorrow) with Skunk2s and they feel fine. ill be getting some Omni sleeve springs and some Megan Racing sleeves/springs.

I wouldn't run anything higher than 300# on stock/HP/GR2s. And if you're low on that setup, you're gonna have oil pan + UCA problems.

W/higher rate sleeves, even with quality shocks you can't slam the car. You just don't have the travel. So if you really wanna slam the car, you need a full setup like FF1s. If there's ANYTHING I've learned, it's that if you want something, you've gotta make a plan, spend the $$$ and do it right. I bet you have spent close to FF1 money on trying to piece together less expensive systems. U wanna slam it... go w/FF1s or something like that.

And this year alone I prob spent $3K to get this car where it is, and admittedly it is still a piece of shit. That's not counting the F22B DOHC I blew up. W/all that, I could have swapped a VQ35 + leather + a sunroof into my old Maxima. So I'm done. I will get shocks and rock w/the car till next spring... sell it, and use that to get something basic + reliable. Sorry to whore up your thread...

i dont want to slam it. just dont want any tire/fender gap. i think i might be going with a full coilover set up. we'll see when my money comes in next week. i should be able to get one of the two. Func./Form Type Ones or this other brand. or even some Tanabe Sustec i found for a great price. the last two all depend on if i get the money in time. the Func./Forms are always gonna be on the list tho.


i think i just fell in love with my CB again. lol. just ran with a tC thru the city streets of RR. haha. didnt even break the speed limit. ducking between lanes was fun tho

i was just about to post some pics(or like 1 or 2) of the CF wrapped hood. the wrap isnt up there right now. yet again another project failed. ill get some more those and good hood with good paint, so i can get it smooth....
