I'd put my money elsewhere besides Type1's. They suck, majorly. You'd be better off with some ksports/d2's or w/e they are.

why is everyone so hyped up about them? what kind of suspension you think i should go with? i dont want to spend over $600 for one. thats the reason i wanted the Type I's. everyone likes those and the Type II's and ive yet to hear anything bad about them. i can care less if they're knock offs of some other company like D2 or Ksports. its $630 for a set.

                  def not blasphemy.

the reason: my bro learned to drive on this car, I learned to drive on this car.
I am pretty much done with it, so instead of gettin rid of it.
my bro owns a custom hot rod shop and is completely domestic.

I have impressed him with the f22 boost. He was like wow, Hondas arent as bad as everyone says as long as they are done right!

so we are making it goo vroom vroom with a twin turbo 350.

You need to save some more money then dude. For the cb7, there is a ton of suspensions that are far better that you're missing out on in the 7-800 dollar range.

                    Don't get type 1's.
Don't get anything without rebound adjustment. If you get something with no rebound adjustment on the dampers and you don't like how it rides, you're stuck with them riding that way.

700 will get you the cup kit.
750-800 will get you a koni yellow/ground control setup
D2's and Ksports both at least have rebound adjustment, like the Type 2's

If you get type 1's, you might as well get Tein basics, and you NEVER hear good things about those.
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

well i WILL be getting the Type I's soon. lol. just need the money. for the dampening adjustment, i have no use for it. IMO that much adjustment isnt any use for me unless im tracking the car on a circuit track on the weekend. riding with the non-adjustable coilover set up will be fine with me. plus i dont want to spend more on the coilover or sleeve/strut set up than what the Type I's cost.

if i had $700-$800 spare money to spend on a suspension set up i would. no doubt. but saving for a house AND doing spending that much on JUST the springs/coilovers is too much for me. with $400 i can have a decent set up with the ride im looking for. then instead of buying a $800-$900 set up, that extra $400-$500 i can spend on sway bars, strut bar, bushings, and maybe even tires.

and truthfully, i havent heard anything bad about the Tein coilovers except for they dont do well on slammed cars and ive yet to hear anything bad about the Func./Forms. and i saw a pic of a guy in a civic with D2s where the bottom of the strut snapped off.

The Tein Basics don't even go that low on the cb7 and Tein's are known for being really soft. I see where you're coming from about using the money for other things though. I hope you like the type 1's.

My comment about the rebound adjustment isn't only for the track either. I adjust my Koni's all the time to get the best ride quality on the street...it makes a huge difference.

i had the basics on my car. not too stiff but not to soft either. just about right. but they were for a Prelude tho. but i hope i like the Type I's too. i mean i should. ive yet to have an application thats for MY car. lol. ive always had ebay coilovers, or those Teins. which i just got like 2 or 3 months ago. but i did have Dropzone lowering springs tho. those were for my car. too soft tho.

and i would get something with adjustment but knowing me, id end up breaking it. lmao. then i wouldnt want to go thru the hassle of getting the warrantee work on it. lol. like my friend with a CD5. he has Tokico Illiminas on his car with Skunk2 coilovers. he cant adjust the dampening on the struts because the notch things are gone or broken.
