My CB7 at Evolution driving school

This is a video i put together of me and the other people who attended the evolution school at the swvr riverside lot.

Something that i thought was funny was that both of my instructors (Robert and Jinx) had CB7s at one point and they both liked them. Robert had the automatic seat belts that as he stated (whoever designed that needed there nuts shot off)

I learned a lot and some how was able to improve by 4 seconds by the end of the first day.

no but it would of really helped on that long sweeping turn where i had to feather the throttle to keep the wheels (i mean wheel) from spinning. It is on the to do list but I'm planning on getting a suspension on it first to help with the body role.

good stuff I know it's minor...but if you go again, bring a small squirt bottle with you and spray down the front tires with cold water between runs. Helps the street tires a lot!

well at the school we where put in groups of 2 and we just ran one after another and just stopping long enough for the instructor to give us pointers. At the normal events i usually get enough time between runs that the azeniss are completely cool.

It was raining the first part of Saturday so i had plenty of water then but less traction. I'm still amazed that Robert was able to get a time in the rain that i couldn't beet when the lot was dry and warm (.2 secounds off).

what was the best pointer you got? Your time improved by 4 whole seconds so obviously something helped?

They where all good pointers I'm not sure if i had a best one. Some of the ones that helped me the best was turning in sooner on the slalom, doing all my breaking before i get to the turn and not while I'm turning, and committing to a single steer and adjusting with the throttle.

It was kind of hard to concentrate on the course and think about all they where telling me so i was mowing down cones like nothing else.

nice. Looked like you did damn good in the video! I have problem slowing down enough before turns too. And when I do enter turns I'm too heavy on the gas trying to speed back up. Best part of events like that is the night afterwards. You kinda replay what you do through your head over and over and think about how the car acted. What it liked and didn't like. As long as you learned a few things it was deff. worth it!

Yeah i definitely learned a lot. I had everything pretty much down by the end of Sunday i was just hitting a lot of cones. Jinx Jordan told me that i had excellent car control and a lot of raw talent but i needed more experience (only been to 3 autocrosses) and i need to learn to hold back a little because my car with the stock suspension couldn't hold the line i was trying to take (heavy foot syndrome).

haha looks fun man yeah heavy foot kills the time. I know it sounds blah but lots n lots of practice on car video games taught me exactly what you just said they told you. Believe it or not while it seems you lose time slowing down to much braking harder before the turn you make the turn sooo much better that in the end you get better times. Man I gotta find auto X stuff in my area I wanna wanna soooo bad but only found drag so far...

I missed you at the last event man. The video kicks ass. Looks hella fun. I'm running against you today but I have a feeling with the new tires and the new tips your going to stomp my ass. All in good fun. Good luck bro.
