Kc Meet Pics Thread!

You know I never thought I would need to do this but recently it has been brought to my attention that there are a few people that do not like the fact that I have posted a few of the pictures that I posted. I am not trying to be an asshole or anything like that. All I am saying is that if you are willing to show it off at the meet then be prepared to have it shown on the site. Pictures that I take are my property and I will do with them as I choose. If you do not want pictures taken of something then say something to me as I am taking them or just dont show whatever you are trying to hide from the rest of the site. I never thought that anyone would need me to post a disclamer on my pics but I guess that is what it is coming down to. So here it goes

They may be OF your property but all I can say to avoid any confusion or arguments is that if you do not want your property shown in my pics then either don’t come to the KC MEETS that I attend or simply don’t show off what you don’t want shown off on the site. They most likely will be posted on this website, (Cb7Tuner.com). As long as it is a clean photo it WILL BE SHOWN! If you do not want something posted on the site then I ask that you mention it to me or make it known AT THE TIME THE PICTURES ARE BEING TAKEN! Otherwise it is already too late and the pictures WILL NOT be removed. There is nothing prohibiting me from doing just this. And I do not think that any of the above is asking too much of you or myself. Seems fair to all parties concerned. Thanks.

I am sorry to see that after I did all the scouting of the area and figured out what dates everyone was and wasnt available that it had to turn out this way. All I can say really is that if I would have canceled any plans or traveled more then the 15 minutes that I live from Heritage, I would have like many of the other guys that showed up and left. I would have left also. I was debating leaving before some even showed up. Whatever though. Maybe thats just me. As for the next meet all I can say is if you dont want something shown on this site then dont show it at the meet. Later

Good luck with that. I had a hard enough time getting everyone to a meet in KC. And only 1 (tommi) made the trek up from wichita. I know I wont be making the trek down to wichita. Good luck with that. But maybe thats just me being bitter after all I did to put this meet together. Oh well. Later

Well I can undo it if i wanted to I am not an idiot... If I wanted to take them down I would. And just so that there is no confusion in the future I can print out and hand out my disclaimer to all that attend the meet so that they are aware of the way this works. I dont think it is really that hard to understand.. Maybe thats just me though. I dont care if you sent me a PM or whored up this thread. You are looking right at me in a few of Dereks pics when I am standing there with the tripod and camera and you were okay with it then. Did you think I was going to keep all the pictures to myself? And you are not the only one that saw me taking these pictures. I know for a fact that everyone that was standing there backed up out of the sunlight so that I could take these pictures. I am simply defending my photos. If you dont want something shown then do not show it at the meet. Like I have said before all the pictures that I take at a meet are posted on here. I refuse to take them down. Sorry that upsets you.

EDIT: I think I get it now. Tommi has problems with the pictures of his H22. I can now see from his member's ride thread that in every picture that shows the engine that you never can see all of it. I however recognized the upper plenum as well as the distributor location/wires.

Thanks The G-Man. Thats the same thing that I have thought all along. You show it at a meet, and it is something worth showing such as a H22 I, at least, thought it was common knowledge that it would be shown on here. I have already made up the paperwork for disclaimers that everyone can sign if there are certain areas of their vehicle that they do not want shown. I will print up enough for all attending the meet and anyone that wants to be left out of my pics can sign it. Didnt think I would need a Disclaimer on here. Hopefully I will stop recieving PMs from everyone telling me to remove these. It is good to see that someone that is seeing this from the outside agrees with what I have said. Thanks to The G-Man.. I think we all just need to take a chill pill and stop being so rude to eachother. We all agreed that the meet went well and there was a good turn out. yeah people came and went and some people showed up late. but over all it was a good turnout with pictures taken that were going to be displayed. I think in the future maybe people need to specify if they dont want something to happen at a meet or have pictures taken. But let all of that go it is in the past and we had a good time and that is all that should matter! Peace!

If you don't want to share, don't pop your hood. Hell, don't be a part of this community.

This dispute ends now. If you don't like people taking pictures of your engine (OMG, an H22! Yeah, I have one too...) then don't show it to them.

Nobody is going to steal your stuff. You don't have anything obviously unique under your hood, Tommi. It looks good. That's about it. I don't think the theives are getting in line to gank your pretty blue valve cover and DC header.

Chill out. This will be buried in a few days time, and nobody will bother digging it up. In the future, please ask people not to photograph your engine bay if you don't want the pictures displayed.

I'd hate to see this become another Honda-Tech, where everyone with anything interesting done to their car is so secretive or fat-headed that they don't share a damn thing.

I'm no pro, but the pics are so-so.... Not OMG amazing, but they don't suck either. Overall looks like a good turnout, but I could certainly do without the teenage bickering in a media thread.
