Installing KICKER Mids and Highs w/Amp

SO.......as the title says I started Phase 1 today of my mids and highs install.

I am installing the following KICKER products. Pics of these coming soon.
    KS65.2- 6.5" Component Speaker System w/ crossovers
    KS693-6x9" Three-Way Speakers
ZX350.4- 4Ch. Amp. Birth Certificate Rates it at 359watts

This phase was just removing all interior pieces so that I can do a clean job of running the wires for the new speakers and so that I could clean up the mess of wires I already have around all the door seals. This will be updated as I go. I plan to have it all finished sometime next week, and I am planning to shampoo all my carpet while I have it out (idea from The G-Man). I will be driving for a week with only the driver seat, so no one will be wanting to ride with me and I have lightened the car so much I would recommend for anyone to remove all theit carpet to actually see what they can find. I ended up finding over $2 in change, a tube of lipstick and an medevil post-it note. The lipstick was under the pass. side front seat, and the post-it note was under the plastic air vent that comes out under the pass. side front seat. and fromt he pics below you can tell that there was pklenty of dirt under there. Anyway STFU!!!!!!!

    Now for the PICS!!!

Go me for having an excellent idea! And Keith for doing it the best way, with the entire interior out.

Looks good. I remember the fond days I had ripping my interior out. Just be glad you haven't ripped out the rear parcel shelf yet. That has to be the worst part of the project.

and I dont plan on taking that out, no need for it, but yes it looks like it would be a pain.

Good luck man. I hope it all turns out well. I always have a lot of fun reading your threads Your drilling out your front door panels to hold the tweeters right? You have the same car as me, a 92 Accord EX sedan. I believe we have shitty 3" speakers up front right? I guess ur swapping in LX speaker holders, that hold 6.5".

Yes..I'm gonna be cutting a 2" hole in each door panel for the tweeters, and I am somewhat swapping in LX 6.5" pods.
The LX pods were not deep enough for the 6.5's I bought, so I had to cut out the back of them to make them work..so now basically all they are is spacers. I have already tested them and I will have no problems with window clearence, which was my main concern.

I cant wait to get this finished..nice clean carpet..and some crisp highs that will make birds jealous

                      Phase 2

I ran all the wire and got all the speakers, tweeters, and the amp in today. It sounds GREAT!!!1!..I couldn't ask for better sound quality
Also I got kinda rushed while installing all this and forgot to take pics of each thing being installed So when I go to put my carpet back in I'll get some finished pics of everything

                      <<Need I say more

Man everything looks great. Few questions, did you have any problems with your 6x9 speakers hitting the rod that opens the trunk?

And how did you run the wiring, like a brief overview. The power wire from the battery down the passenger side it seems to a distribution that that goes to all your amps. So I'm guessing you ran the signal wires (amp inputs) down the driver side? And the power wires (amp outputs) to the speakers, what side did you run them down? I'm just looking for an idea of how to wire them without picking up any noise from the power cables.

Yes I did have a problem but only on the DS
I used my Dremel and cut off about 1/4inch of the bar and then had no problems

                          -------
Actually its funny that you ask all of this because I'll be putting my carpet back in tomorrow which will give me a chance to get some good pics and show you exactly how everything is ran. So if you can wait until tomorrow for pics I'll give ya the whole run down.
