    My CB7 project car.

    UPDATED PICS ON PAGE 2 - 7/13/06

    PAGE 6 - 8/20/06

    AND PAGE 21 - 9/23/06

Hey, my name is Emmanuel (JDM_EJ) or just EJ for short. I'm not sure if this in the right thread, so if a mod wants to, go ahead and move me over to the right one.

Anyway, I just picked up this cb7 for 300 bucks. Its a 93 LX. It runs fine, but it needs help on the cosmetic side. The whole car is primer gray, with cracked front and rear bumpers, no grille, and some missing interior parts. it was hit on the front end, so the radiator bracket is a little askew. the lower hood latch support was missing(waiting for the one I ordered from xwade to arrive), so the hood wont shut. so the guy I bought it from bolted the hood down! (dork). Here are some pics.

I'm liking the "custom front bumper" lol.

OK. In this pic ^^^^^ you can see the ghetto stripes and stars that were "custom painted" by the previous owner.

    Engine bay pic

F22A1 with 16XXXX miles. Still runs fine.

This is my Daily Driver(for now). Yeah, my life is backwards. lol

So my plan is to restore this cb7. The original color was some sort of green. but I want to paint it either black or white.

Here are my Weapons of Mass Reconstruction :

    Craftsman Air compressor

Impact gun (from Walmart) works pretty good actually.

Here's what I've done so far.

I recently tuned up the car:
    NGK Spark Plugs
    Castrol Synthetic blend oil
    changed oil filter
    changed tranny fluid
    changed brake pads - front

when I took out the spark plugs, It was drowned in oil! So I took off the valve cover, and lo and behold, there were no upper spark plug tube seals. also the valve cover was leaking oil. So I got a Fel Pro gasket set, and changed out the gaskets. And fixed the problem.

Then I found out that the rear passenger side bearing was shot. So I am going to swap some rear discs on there. So I jacked up the rear end and set it on stands. I dropped both rear setups out, but i still have to disconnect the e-brake cables. (not really sure how to do it, but I'm just gonna wing it, I guess. unless someone wants to give some info.) pending rear disc purchase. Hopefully tomorrow. here's a pic.

I picked up a hood from Jose(92accordlx) and also some clear corners.

    The hood replacement:

I think the color is like Rosewood brown or something like that...

    Clear Corners:

    Before:

    After:

Are you guys complaining about condensation in your corners? Mine looked like stinkin aquariums! Look.

Thanks for reading. So I will keep posting as I go along. I need lots of info, and this site is full of info. So please help me . and If anyone has any parts I can use, I would greatly appreciate it if you'd let me know. Thanks. And tell me what you think!

also, just something i noticed, but were the headlights replaced when it was hit on the front end? cause it looks like they were replaced by 90-91 lights. you can see it here..

Can anyone else verify the headlights as being 90-91? well at the time of the pic, i adjusted the top part forward to access the corner. but that might explain the corners not lining up with the headlights...I'll take more pictures soon...
