You got ripped if she only gave you 400 bucks. You should have taken that to the most expensive honda repair shop in town and gotten an estimate then show it to her and demand payment. Put the cash in your pocket and fix it yourself

x2, many people don't want to use insurance......too bad. That's over 1k worth the damage. I would have taken the money and repaired it myself.

You definately still should have got more than 400 out of her. Some chick rear ended me a like a year and a half ago. There was like NO damage...just barely two scratches from where her licsense plate screws hit my bumper. I took it to exclusive honda/acura repair and got a quote of $1400 because they wanted to replace the bumper, then paint the new one to match the body. A few other places gave me like $500 estimates so I showed them to her and she cut me a check for 800 bucks. I still havent fixed the bumper.

Bodywork is dumb cheap outside the US, and they do good work. In Ghana basically all the cars are in decent shape visually.
