maybe i cant tell in the pics, but it looks ok for a $800 job... thats maaco prices right there.

got any shots of the cutoff with hid's? i used to have those headlights and they sucked. wondering what the output is like with the hid setup.

Pics dont show shit but in person, even to a untrained eye, you will definately see what I'm talking bout. As far the HID cutoff, not currently but I'll take some, guess it ok for the setup.

With Body Work You really get what you pay for... Did you even get an estimate..? or was it $85x.xx for a complete paint. Because *Complete Paint* dosen't really tell you shit.. If you don't pay for the labor to do it the right way, you'll always get bit in the ass. For example, if you don't pay for them to Remove/Install you door handels then you just told them "Hey paint the rubber seal around them so that in two weeks my paint will crack, Thanks Guys"
And Really I think you got screwed & there to blame. But you still have to protect yourself.. I don't want to come off like a dick or anything but, your part of the reason for this happening. If they gave you a REAL estimate, then you would be able to look at it, look at the crap job on your car and sue them for fraud. But, I'm pretty sure your estimate says "Complete paint" and like I said before. You did get a complete paint. Did they even write down your vehicles mileage on your repair order...? I wish you the best of luck.. just be more careful next time..

gotta agree w/ Laguna since its obvious he knows about bodywork. i'd also ask the shop why you have to wait 30 days for the enamel paint to cure; if they're gonna repaint it w/ the proper urethane paint, there is no reason to wait 30 days. if they wanted to, they can sand the paint down and prep it for the the correct paint. from what it sounds like, they'll probably just spray on an extra coat of clear and tell ya it was repainted

Dont worry about that Rick, my concern is about the paint, not the fucking gap between fender and bumper!

I always learned that you never have the same shop paint and do your body work. This way you know that they wont cover up body work errors and you see your body work complete before its painted. I had my caddy recently repainted. My friend who does body work and my self did all the work. We even sanded the crap out of the car and removed everything we could before it was painted. We masked things we didnt remove even the windows. I felt better knowing that I took my time masking and doing the body work so I know the paint should be great.Leaving a great margin of error out.

Body work is the most important thing to a paint job and if time with patince was put in preping the car for paint.Your paint job work look better. I seen Sh$% paint look good since the body work was done right

This was a simple paint job. I had replaced the fenders, passenger door from another car and removed rust from all over the car.

Does it look bad? Try to guess what the cost was to paint the whole car with even changing the color of the car from blue to grey.
