actually clarkster is right, is an obx twinloop, but still sounds great. i did all the work myself. i sanded/wetsanded/polished the lips and i personally drove the wheels to a shop to get sandblasted and powdercoated.

and the caps, well thats a whole different story. i guess it was good that they layed the paint on thick, but because of that, the caps wont fit flush. guess it was such a tight fit before the paint, it only took a small layer to make it not sit right. kind of a good thing though. honestly i kinda like the look without them. might be kinda tacky, but im so used to the slips w/o caps, it looks normal to me. on a side note, your average joe isnt gonna know what i have when they see my car go by, which is a good thing. if i had the volk caps on, thats basically an invite to attempt to steal my wheels... and i just dont wanna deal with that.

to sand i got the following:
          180grit dry
          400grit dry
          3m metal finishing pad
          1000grit wetsand
          2000grit wetsand
          mother's polish

and acutally the block is fine, is was never cracked to begin with. almost a month ago, i put a new plug in, and the leak just stopped. found out the thread for the plug inside the head was cracked. at my friends shop, they had a head cut in half, and i noticed running throught the middle of the head is a coolant tunnel... which is how it was getting it. so the new rustless plug must have temporarily sealed the leak, since it was minor, and i threw a bottle of bar's leak in. its been fine since. im going to retune soon, and ill be getting a new head when this one starts to leak again, but im in no hurry.

                  they look right at home!!!!

glad they'll get some use, rather than just sit on my floor collecting dust.

if you had 92/93 front and back bumpers, and also do a trunk swap. ur car would be perfect. just my opinion...

thanks for all the compliments guys, and i must agree... i like these alot more than the slips. slips are still cool, but these add a little more character. not to mention alot of originality. el was the first guy ive seen with these wheels, and now that theyre black, even rarer(not sure if thats a word, but you get the point).

i dont even care about the fact that rota's are fake jdm... they look nice. but i just wanted to be a little different. everywhere i look, i see bronze c8's or black slips.

and btw, the slips are sold, sorry guys.

and ive thought about doing a front bumper swap, i do like the 92/3 more, but thatll be more of an eventual thing... when i have time and money. for right now, what i have is fine.
