so what is the blackhousing about what does it do? does it make a difference?

Blackhousing = masking off the reflectors on your headlights and painting everything black. What does it do? Peeps "say" it reduces glare, but honestly it's purely cosmetic. I have new headlights...I think I'm gonna go with JDM CB3 2.0Si gray this go round.

It's cosmetic, when I did it a month or so ago it had no affect on light output. It makes them look more like the JDM pieces I guess. You only prep and paint the non-reflector surfaces. It does seem to cut down on scattered light, but the look during the day with them off is awesome.....I love the difference. They look good at an angle too.....

Yea head on they don't look that great, but at an angle they are teh sex, especially with amber corners. I'm rocking clears right now so we'll see how that looks...

Oh man I can't wait till you guys see what I have in store...totally new look...

headlights look good, but the taillights, meh testors makes a window tint model paint, its transparent, thats what i did mine with

The tape is what makes it mine. I actually did the tape to see how it would look if I painted it...yadda yadda yadda a year later it's still on. Eh...

I have more pressing issues to deal with at the moment anyway...
