You should post up a complete list of tools/products used on your paint job.

I wonder if you could roll on some PPG clear or something like that. That shit would look hot!
            Thanks!
I use the Rustoleum oil-based paint (sold in half pints, quarts, and gallons)

I used the Rustoleum "Stops Rust" and Rustoleum "Professional" they both work well.

One quart is ~$5 enough to roll two cars.

I am not sure if you can roll clear but there is a lot of info on this online

no problem, here is my post about rolling

                    1. Get the supplies: sandpaper, masking tape (you won't need much at all), high density rollers, cheap trays, mineral spirits, and 1 quart of paint.

                    2. Do all your body work: remove rust, bang out dents, use body filler where needed

                    3. Sand the whole car with 220 grit (use an electric sander if you have one)

                    4. Park in a safe place (not under a tree)

                    5. Wipe the whole car with mineral spirits many times until it is 100% dust and dirt free

                    6. Thin Rustoleum with mineral spirits until it is almost like water

                    7. Roll the paint on,

                    8. Wait 6-8hours

                    9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until you are satisfied with the result

-I only did this with Rustoleum "Stops Rust" and Rustoleum "Professional". I am not sure about other brands.

-If you get too much orange peel or roller marks, you can wetsand between the coats

-ONLY USE BLUE MASKING TAPE. Regular masking tape will be very hard to remove.

-A good idea would be to practice on say your hood until you "get the feel for it" and can paint big areas with no roller marks.

-Wait 6-8hours before applying the next coat. It should take anywhere between 4 and 8 coats depending on the color and how much you wet sand

A roller paint job can be done in 3-4 days
Day one - prep, first coat; Day two - two more coats; Day Three - quick wet-sand, and 2 more coats. Day Four - buff and you are done

                    Hope this helps

That has to be the best DIY paint job that I have seen yet. Can't wait to see the car when it's buffed out and everything.

Yeah I heard this is better than rattle can. You have to get the paint really thin. I've seen a roller paint car in person and it looked really good.

                            on the outcome.

                                Thanks everybody!

yea it is definitely better than rattle can paint jobs. rattle can jobs are more expensive, easier to mess up, and are nowhere near the durability of this paint
