    INT: Red Door Lights

This is for the lights on the doors

    Whats needed?
    -Flat head screw driver
-Transparent Red paint- I used krylon stained glass
    -Rubbing Alcohol
    -Rag
    -2000 grit sand paper

    1. First pop off the the covers from the door with the flat head screw driver
    2. Sand them down with 2000 grit paper
    3. Clean them real well with alcohol
    4. Shoot the paint like 2-3 light coats( I prefered to go darker)(inside or outside)
    5. Clear them(optional)
    6. Let them dry
    7. Pop them back in and your done

not bad. it looks like the UK version. and you could always just sand the paint off if you get sick of them. later.

Wouldn't it look better if you just put the paint on the inside of the cover? It looks good now but if you put the paint on the inside wouldn't the outside be more shiney and make it look better?

You can just spray clear on it to get it shiny

Nice DIY. A long time ago I couldn't find colored bulbs that would fit so I used translucent paint and went over the clear portion of the bulbs. It didn't turn out as blue as I wanted them. I tried red and it came out pink. Nice DIY

Oh and Dayum thats a cleanass engine bay! Looks so clean you can eat off it!
I need a custom turbo manifold built....

Lucky that you bought the first set, cause he told me that they were pretty hard to come by, and lucky me for getting the 2nd one

I really like that...looks nice and clean. I made my courtesy door lights blue by chuckin leds on the clips...was easier i thought...but i guess paint will last longer.

Nice DIY. I would like to do just the opposite, from red to clear . My door lights are OEM red.
