EXT: Removing Gold Plating from Emblems

Not necessarily for my accord but nevertheless a DIY. Lol I know its not anywhere close to TypeG status but hey, it was my first time.

    Needed:
    -Emblems
    -Mothers Aluminum Polish
    -Dremel
    -Goggles (highly recommended)
    -Nitrile/Latex Gloves
    -Patience

This was my first time doing anything like this so it didn't turn out perfect by any means. I didn't have very much selection of tips to use but I used the small soft one, someone can chime in on what that is.

Below are the steps for the DIY, pretty self explanatory. Use the dremel on low speed, it is fast enough still.

Wouldnt it be easier to find used non-gold emblems online instead of going through the pain of removing the finish?

not for these caps. and $30-$50 vs free (minus an hour labor of work)? could you say that about any accord parts? why fix it or DIY instead of buying them new?
