Okay, I just did the headlight transplant- doing it is eeeeeeeeeeasy!

Its just like the instructions on the bumper removal thread, 6 bolts hold on the bumper and it slides right off. 5 bolts each for the headlights.

Be sure to slide the grooves on the side of the bumper over the little guide heads or you'll be pulling it back off to do it (like I did).

Total elapsed time spent from start to finish of installation of blackout headlights (with fartin' around, smoke break, bs'n with neighbor, etc): 1 hour 48 minutes. If I had been in a hurry, I think I would be able to do it in 30 minutes or less (and I've never taken off the bumper before).

Blackout side marker lights being done today.

The single longest thing to do on this entire project (apart from letting paint dry and the silicone seal) is masking the reflectors- that crap takes forever!

Pics coming very soon! (as soon as I can get to the inlaws' to upload the images on the camera).

you don't need to get all the old silicone out....just enough to that it's not in ur way or messy..then add the new stuff to it... don't make more work out of this than needed...hope that helps and good luck

                      It's not a CB7, but a CD7...

Here are my JDM knock-offs, homemade as an apple pie, str8 from the oven.....looks much better IMO, well worth the 3-hour predicament, and I keep getin asked "Where'd you get those lights?'', by ppl in my town, cuz only I got em, so do it, it's easy....

Great write up. A couple of questions. Someone asked about doing this with the jdm lights with the plastic front. Should the oven temperature be the same as for the glass? Also, I assume your oven temp of 225 degrees is fahrenheit? That's what you guys use over there right? thanks
